Is he better than Davies? That seems to be more his profile, LB that can cover LCB. Maybe Ange is worried BD can’t handle the inverted role?
Knew this would happen once we "announced" we were going more to a data driven route. We'd identify a player that would be random and fit the profile we'd want. It would be someone completely out of left field that we've been most likely scouting, but haven't held enough of an interest for reporters/itk to know the name.
Because no one knows this player, and it's not a 'big name' player everyone wants, people go apeshit, and that player has to perform or it turns into a "not good enough"/"another deadwood signing"/"going to have to replace in a window".
Data-driven works if your fanbase can accept that route. Ours clearly cannot.
He went to West Ham in 1970 in exchange for Martin Peters.Fair, but we sold our best ever player
One positive I can find on this. This analyst is class on twitter, one with the most knowledge there, so at least there’s some potencial Ange could harvest here
Well for one thing he isn’t represented by CAA Base,How do you know with such certainty that this player has been selected purely out of a data driven approach and not because we can't shift deadwood, we want HG players, he's represented by CAA Base and he has 12 months left?

Well for one thing he isn’t represented by CAA Base, so that might be a helpful barometer for who’s chatting complete nonsense.
Scroll back through his feed and find a bad take - might take a whileGuys this was from nearly 4 years ago. Dele was a baller then too
One and the same I think you’ll findWell for one thing he isn’t represented by CAA Base, so that might be a helpful barometer for who’s chatting complete nonsense.
Fair enough, they are indeed more closely related than I had realized. So having a look @ButchCassidy, he's represented by CAA Stellar, which is owned by CAA Sports, which also owns CAA Base. So yeah I'm not sure I accept that I'm chatting complete nonsense, it's Barnett agency and the point was, it's a organisation we've done a significant amount of business with. So I stand by it being a fair variable that may mean it's not a data driven deal.
Why not everyone else isNot gonna pretend I know if he’s good or bad.
Because if we're operating under this model, you probably have a list of 10-15 players that you'd be willing to go for if one doesn't work out. Can't get the first choice? Cross it off and move to the next. How do you know with such certainty that this player has been selected purely out of a data driven approach and not because we can't shift deadwood, we want HG players, he's represented by CAA Base and he has 12 months left?
