You obviously haven't seen Barca's have you?

A report on any Spanish clubs finances means nothing when it comes to spending on transfers.
LOL, hardly the same thing.

Barcelona are a huge team with a massive turnover and have traditionally spent big. For whatever reason are still spending big.

Villareal are a small club who spend small.

Barcelona and the Madrids signings have nothing to do with other Spanish club's spending.

If I recall, Real Betis wanted around £60m for us to buy Lo Celso outright but instead we took him on loan with an obligation to buy.
The loan set us back about £14m and then we bought him for £27m (total £41m).
Villarreal then took him on loan from us last season and they've probably paid 10-15m too.
So by that reckoning, their £15.2m bid could be in line with their valuation for an out-of-favour player, at £30m'ish.

I think Levy might take £35m for him in total.

I don't know what they paid but it's very hard to believe they paid 10-15m on only half a season loan for Lo Celso, considering we got Lenglet, a player with a higher profile, a whole season for 7m.

I'm near certain that GLC's loan to Villarreal did not include an option to purchase (for an agreed fee that is), making it extremely doubtful they have paid a huge loan fee. We completed that deal with Betis to help them avoid paying a large sell on % to PSG IIRC.

I remember when both he and TND left, TND was the only one with a reported option to make the transfer permanent.

Good point! Completely forgot it was just half a season.

Nevertheless, as some have already said most Spanish teams are struggling financially so I'm not surprised with the low offer - but at the same time I do think Levy wants to get players off the books, so we might see some movement
