This sounds like a dodgy online dataing ad and is almost as depressing but....

I want to go to more games this year, when I was at uni I used to go up to the lane 4 or 5 times a year (I know, part time fan and all that rubbish) but, getting married and growing up (33 now) has meant that the group I used to go up with have now all got kids and none of us really go anymore (think I've only been once each year for the past four years).

I'm now at the point where my wife hates getting dragged along for my yearly trip (reason for divorce I know), I haven't got anybody to go up with (violins at the ready) and I've tried going on my own once before (very strange / uncomfortable experience :bag:).

I can't be the only one in this kind of position so hence the pathetic thread. Thinking there are a few different ways this can go.
  • Group of season ticket holders where one of the group can't make it and are happy for me to tag along (obv pay the ticket price like an SC version of Stub Hub)
  • Group of Bronze/Lillywhite members who buy a block of tickets in bulk and meet up before the game
  • Random person in same situation who likes a bit of banter and Spurs chat

Not looking at an every game type thing as other comitments mean I can prob only make a few games but want to make an effort to go more often this year.

(y)

I'm exactly the same..... I live in Westerham Kent now, and only got to 1 game last year.... didn;t help I went from working in Finance to a pretend Electrician last year. Now back in Finance, I want to get to more games...

Didn't realise there were so many Spurs fans in Ashord........

A group of us go up quite regularly, but given the ticket situation this season, you haven't picked the best year to want to start going again

Wow, two years fly by...

Never did manage to get my massage off @faymantaray (you tease) so ended up going on my tod to a few games and being the mental case who sings by himself and mutters under his breath :bag:

Would be up for getting a few of us together for a match and a few beers though.

A few of us travel up together on the train, and it usually starts and ends up with a lot of beer. Whilst not in Kent (Hants here), can always meet up town somewhere before hand!
No reason why we can't try and organise it so we pick a pub and meet up before the match for a beer.

Right what's the best way to sort something? I don't understand this new ballot process, can you still purchase tickets when it falls down to Bronze members (assume everybody's got a Bronze/Lillywhite membership)

I'm going up for the Sunderland game. Maybe we all just either try for a game or let everyone know which we're going to so we can all meet up before a well attended match?

Hate going with other Spurs fans. They either have the completely wrong ideas, have the most idiotic pet players, know zilts about football or argue like 2-years olds. And to top it off, some of them actually enjoy 4-2-3-1. I get enough of that on SC, don't have to surround my self with it when I'm actually on the lane.

So basically on the ballot anyone with a membership can apply for tickets, they then email you if you're lucky about a week later.

I'm going to the Liverpool game but was rejected for palace tickets (although I got an email a few days ago offering me tickets again) so I think it's just down to pot luck. I worked out you've got to be unlucky not to get them. From previous ballots so far you've got about a 5/6 chance of getting tickets if you want them.

Tell me about it. Whats with all these bloody Spurs fans turning up at Spurs matches, talking about Spurs, cheering on Spurs players, ruining my day out watching Spurs when all I want to do is watch Spurs in peace and enjoy my own company
