But decisions are being made.

Ferdinand not retained

Woods and Neville no longer retained as coaches.

Though looking at it now they could be going because Moyes has.

So basically we're LVG's back up plan and he's United's back up plan? lol

Sloppy seconds feels liberating compared to that lol

LVG just hinted he's talking to more than one English club.

I just saw that too.

I know he's viewed as the dream choice by many, I understand that and I respect what he's done and, often, how he's done it, I would still rather FDB. I just think he's a better fit for us. More compatible with our club. Hell, I think Pochettino and Benitez are probably more compatible than LVG.

Possibly a 'hurry the fuck up' to United. I think there's some snake eyed poker being played here. United could be waiting to see if Real Madrid lose the CL final and Ancelotti becomes available, LVG is their back-up plan, Levy wants LVG so can't afford to appoint some plum (in comparison) only for it then to transpire that he could have got LVG.

It's all very very murky. And all very very hypothetical :D
Furthermore, if Der Kaiser really has the hump with Guardiola then could United be waiting on that situation to unfold? He was Ferguson's preferred choice...

LVG agreed to join spurs before Utd sacked Moyes.
Levy is an incredible negotiator. He worked this all out with superb accuracy and the silence around the deal has been excellently executed.

Didn't LVG tell reporters to ask Man Utd about his contract and not him?

I'm not sure I can see past him being appointed now. I think Levy sees Pochettino as ideal given his Prem experience thus far, brand of football played and of course his blooding of youngsters at So'ton.

I always saw each potential manager described by one word:
LVG = majestic
FdB = romantic
Pochettino = realistic
Benitez = safe

He's my top choice as long as Ancelotti is still in job,
however I wouldn't wait for him. Appoint him now or let him go.

Fucking hell, LVG is properly whoring himself. Last big pay day and all that!

He's short term for whoever he goes to. That suits us much better, he'll get a talented squad who need a kick up the arse.

United need someone who can re-build and give them something entirely new to leave Fergie in the past.

IMO.

Ryan Giggs to discuss Man Utd role with Louis van Gaal
Ryan Giggs will meet with Louis Van Gaal in the Netherlands on Wednesday as Manchester United move towards finalising their new management team.

Dutch national coach Van Gaal, 62, is set to be appointed as United boss and will speak to Giggs about a potential coaching position at Old Trafford.

Welshman Giggs, 40, ended the campaign as United's interim manager following the dismissal of David Moyes in April.

I wish that LvG and Utd make their official announcement soon.

Then hopefully, AM wins the CL and Carlo gets the boot and heads for WHL.

I really think that if CA does get the boot, he wouldn't mind coming to us.

Only 10 more days to wait... and counting ;)

As much as I'd like Van Gaal, him and Levy are a match made in hell. We constantly hear that Levy likes his managers to blend into the background and not question things (publicly at the very least). If he thought Sherwood was outspoken he'll have a fit when Van Gaal is around.

If LVG can be salvaged. Then he has to be appointed by us before Man Utd appoint their new manager - otherwise it'll look very much as if he's settled for us as second choice. Whereas, if he comes to us first he can come out and say more positive things and saying how we didn't mess him about and we believed in . . .
