He does that to a polite guy, I can see him punching an arsehole like Martin Samuel

I really do think that the English press must be salivating over the idea of LvG in the league, Samuel and Neil Ashton will get dozens of columns out of his press conferences both positive and negative.....the Spurs PR department will need to get treated for ulcers before long though.

Entertainment value will be through the roof...

I'm not defending him. I just wanted to know why he inspires hatred. He can be entertaining but I think his articles lack balance. And I'm not sure who is selling the t-shirts. Or trying to sell them, rather.

I listened to part of one of his podcasts recently. Loquacious chap.

I listen to his podcast every week and I love it. He's a grumpy bastard but he and his co-host have a great rapport, clearly are intelligent and it's a great listen.

I don't go on his site but I've never understood why people can get so riled by a blogger. So what if the site has ads and pushes T-Shirt sales? Why shouldn't someone fund their effort this way?

Anyway, LVG. I really hope the deal is done because he's probably the best manager we can attract. Press conferences will be class!

There idea of van Gaal working with Donna Cullen is actually very funny.

I doubt he would be any more successful than recent managers at providing entertainment on the pitch, but it off the pitch it has the potential to be comedy gold.

He doesn't rile me at all. He quite clearly riles other people and I wanted to know why. I read his blog most of the time. I don't like slogan t-shirts but I read the sports section in tabloid newspapers every day of the week.

Listened to it for the first time today, actually thought it was good. That Habib guy was quite funny (think that's his name).

Yeah that wasn't directed at you, more the people that he does annoy.

I listen to it quite often and loved the Robbie Soldado song at 18 mins or whatever. Quite funny.

I've heard rumors about the Dutch Meister as well, like everyone else. Who knows? Perhaps the Somali warlord lost his nerve and went for the Dutch man after Cardiff. I mean FFS that performance was dire on the back of the equally bad first half against the team from the newest Russian territory. Who knows what would have happened if Jan hadn't got their player to do a Pardew.

I have sympathy for Tim but Jesus man, I can't see us beating Chelsea let alone surviving a beating ourselves or getting through the ides of March in one piece on this form.

When Habib said that I spat my drink everywhere. Possibly the funniest description of Levy I have ever heard! :)

he played a very inexperienced Dutch side in France tonight ( bar Sneijder and van Persie ) and they were poor

Hasn't that been on of his calling cards in this stint as manager of the Netherlands calling up huge amounts of young Dutch players and giving them their first shot.
