Lets try and be a bigger Club shall we just for once..

NOT FOR SALE, AT ANY PRICE..

I like the sentiment, but it's not always as simple as that.

It does depend on the mentailty of the player, if the play lacks professionalism to continue to work hard and play to his best for the club having been denied a move he wanted it could make him a lesser assest to the club as well has having a negative impact on the team spirit and mentality of team mates.

Sometimes in hindsight players that were refused a move may have been better off being cashed in. Not always the case I am sure, after all what do I really know about such things? (fuck all) but I would imagion there are times where a players head is turned by an opportunity to move to a bigger club and if they are not granted in the knock on effect is worse than the impact of losing the player by just selling.

But yea I still agree, we need to become a club bigger clubs realise they can't just pick off our best players.

Chelsea took Arsenson, Man U Carrick and Berba, Liverpool Keane, who knows how far these moves set us back? We have rebuilt yes, but we need to be moving forward and adding to what we have not constantly taking a step back to try take two forward.

Modric, Bale, Palacios, Gomes, Lennon, are all key to our team right now and need to be added to if we ever stand a chance of evolving into a top premiership challanging outfit.

There are going to be plenty of stories like this around our top players - Modric, Lennon, Bale, Dawson, etc. Just the way it is in the champs-league twisted premiership with the big clubs who have been riding that gravy train for so long. When City miss out, as they will, they are going to buy big during the summer.

It wasn't a swipe at Dawson. Think about it. The penny will drop. Eventually.

Ok, a swipe at all of us reasonable fans who realise how good a player Michael Dawson (another immense performance today) is.

Either way, it's childish and petulant, but I'm not surprised.

Do they have the money? Really?

Levy would push that price up to £35million, and Carrick's share of that would be smaller than you might think (he's 28 and on wages bigger than any of our current players).

I love Luka but he'd be expensive for a club making huge losses, and having to keep something aside for a new manager.

Exactly

Thanks to the debt the Glazers have saddled them with, Man Utd will become a 'selling club'. According to the BBC, they have to pay £45million a year just to service their debt
