A cheer for every player bar Modric would send a message without resorting to petty boos and vindicating his desire to move.

Modric deserves a slap for how he's behaved, but I still want him to stay.

Phone up ITV 4 and ask for my licence fee back.
If I went probably just polite applause.

i will clap like i would any other player - i certainly wont be making any extra effort though.

Whilst i am not suggesting we boo luka...i certainly wouldn't, when a player seems to be refusing to play for the club who still pay him, he ceases to be 'any other player'. He actually behaves like a villain and they usually get booed.

If we are serious about forgiving luka and keeping him, then its a no brainer that we respect him, though he doesn't really deserve it, but just like we are going to accept an absolute wanker like Adebayor because we need him and we know he is exactly what we need on the field, us football fans will put up with almost anything these days in search of success, even moving to another part of town!

What the situation needs overall is a player in the Roy Keane mould (which we don't have) to take Modric to one side and verbally give him what for.

e.g. you signed the fucking contract, now quit your bleating and get out there and honour it otherwise you'll have me to answer to.

From the fans perspective encouragement all the way, without going overboard that is

It would really fuck me off if our lot did another Ghaly on him. That was shyte enough.

hold on...ghaly deserved everything he got...

we live our lives supporting that shirt, we travel thousands of miles & spend thousands of pounds to see that shirt!!

players come & go, in essence we support the shirt they wear & the badge they represent...

ghaly threw the shirt to the ground & preceded to wipe his fuckin hands!!!

he was a disgrace & whilst i am sure he regreted it immedietly that can never be forgiven imo!!

regards modders...

he is my favourite player but i was embarrased for him on monday night...a terrible decision to let down his own team mates...

no boos, but no cheers either from me...

He is no spurs player anymore, sorry to burst yall bubbles. I can't treat someone like him the same way I treat players who insist on staying at Tottenham and helping the club achieve things. He was given everything at the club and he spat on the faces of the givers - fans, teammates, managers, owner. If he wanted to play in the CL he should have helped the team have a strong run at the end of the season, instead we won 3 in a row when he was out injured then he came back and we didn't win one out of the next 10 games. I can't stand this little selfish overrated sh!thead.

Booing him would get us no where, both on the night and in the future if he doesn't go. With that said, I don't think I could stomach cheering him at the moment. A polite clap but no more.

Give him a big cuddle and show him we still love him.

Would you still love your girlfriend if she tells you that you are not good enough and that she was gonna go with the guy who you always hated because he is that airhead that always gets the good looking chicks because his dad has a fat wallet, and who always likes to rub it in your nose in front of everyone by calling you "Loser"? WOULD YOU???

Support him just as we should any other player deemed worthy to wear our shirt on the night, last I checked he was still a Spurs player.I imagine the guys that traveled up for the 1st leg and sung proudly, aswell as those that outsung the plastics at OT will be able to surpass any tool that boos their own player. Two wrongs never make a right, figured our fan's had more class than to boo their own player.Wanna prove no player is bigger than the club ? easy support the club ie, the chairman's stance and back the club to keep and re educate Modric (Yup left school years ago, don't do playground taunt's like ratface etc) after the close of the window.

Turn the other cheek and give him a good reception...its in our interests to do so, plus it makes us look (fans) above him and the situation.

Its golden really as everyone knows the craic we dont need to show it, do the opposite I say - not overboard or anything, just enough for effect.

This is how we should all roll!

It is the type of reaction that is most likely to get Modric to eat some humble pie and come out with a statement about how much he loves Spurs and that he wanted the club to match his ambition etc.

I don't want to see our own players booed, no matter what they do. That is a very Arsenal thing course of action.
