Indeed. Paratici has worked wonders with this. Been telling you all for 2+ years how much he has revolutionised the youth set up, and especially identifying young talent from elsewhere and bringing them in.
It’s a shame that when the new DoF, whoever he is, gets appointed that it will likely signal the end of his involvement with us. At least I assume that will be the case.

Due a different thread, but surely people can work in teams.

What Paratici is currently doing is not a full-blown DOF role. And you’d hope he could continue to do it with a new DOF.

Or, the new DOF is on a fixed term deal that suspiciously runs until Paratici ban falls off lol

The more we bring in talented young players and ACTUALLY PLAY THEM - the likes of Udogie, etc. the more other talented young players will view Spurs as a good destination for them to further their careers.

I think we always fancied this recruitment model, but the it's hard to know who's gonna make it.

It's not until we got in Paratici we finally been able to consistently (still a small sample size) find the actual gems.

I would have thought it was clear that Spurs have Paratici still pulling the strings from his consultancy role and as soon as his ban is up he will be back front and centre. It's quite amazing that Spurs have managed to circumvent this ban in the way that they have, but it appears it isn't breaking any rules.

Whole ban was nonsense anyway.

Agree. I think we're doing everything possible to keep him in the loop so he can slot straight back in. If we were going to sack him it would have been done ages ago.

I know I shouldn't question why but why did he choose us over the other top clubs? Genuinely what is our unique selling point I wonder?
This does seem quite a coup after all.

If the whispers about Perisic heading the other way are true, we were able to offer one of the top Croatian players of his generation (and a product of Split's academy) in part exchange. It's early days but Ange's use of Udogie and Sarr has the makings of a club that is set up to give young talents a platform to thrive. Those two things taken together make for a compelling offer for club and player alike.

This sort of signing may be a consequence of not firing Fabio when there were a lot of adverse headlines a few months back.

The new hotel is the selling point. Imagine telling the kid and their families, they'll earn double points if they stayed at the hotel to watch their son play!

Game changer!

I know this might sound like bs (it's true, honest!) but one of the ITKs mentioned our interest in early August but at the time we thought it wasn't going anywhere due to Perisic staying. Definitely some extra "behind the scenes" points for one of them :p

As long as it's not A&C who's distributing them!
