I did a Google search including French results & couldn't find a quote in relation to spurs. Not sure where this has come from

Not being funny but we've failed to bring in just one striker over the past few windows, now you think we'll bring in 3 just like that?

I think it's only been this season that Harry's really seen the need for new blood up top. Think he was happy with Crouch and Defoe until this season. Two strikers at least will come in as Defoe and Pav are goners.

We need a striker with power though...

Just do this lineup

Gomes
Walker--Dawson--Gallas--Bale
VDV--Sandro--Modric
Wickham--Drogba--Lukaku

Bale, Modders and VDV crossing it in for Drogba Lukaku and Wickham

Sadly, think it would be way to open defensively...in fact it would be like an Ossie Ardiles team on LCDEek

:hump:Do you think there is some kinda strikers boycott of WHL?
Okay, I know it may have felt like that at times this season, but...

Probably this.

Is that opinion or something the journo's been told behind closed doors.....?

Just my feelings, Harry clearly has lost patience with Defoe and he's never been taken with Pav. The fact that Pav gets a game ahead of Defoe, and Kaboul for Corluka is the change made to go more attacking rather than bring him on signals the end for me.

We've been linked with so many strikers, there'll be some truth in much of the rumours, even if it's just that striker is the position we're really looking at.

The horses mouth! The OP says he was watching an interview with Paul Van Himst who is involved with Anderlecht so it wasn't second hand, the only question is whether it is ITK or not.

Important thing is that Van Himst seems to believe it and finds it credible which I doubt he would have done three years ago.

I was told a few eeks back that we were actively working on deals for Lukaku, Wickham and Glen Johnson. so to have a deal in place by now? who knows but its certainly possible. I had this convo in PM's a few weeks back with another credible source

Ryan is extremely reliable for those of you that don't make the journey to the ITK threads.

Really hope its Lukaku. We've tried twice, third time lucky?

Big question mark over Glen Johnson but I can see the virtues in the other two, albeit I would have gone one or t'other.

Great. he can spend the entire season on the bench watching JD spend the entire season off side.

I could see Harry's thinking towards Glen Johnson, against the weaker teams an attacking RB could be a good thing.

There is much better out there however imo.

Haven't watched enough Villa this season to comment on Walker tbh, whenever I have seen him he has played pretty well though so could be the answer.

As long as the answer isn't Alan Hutton :|
