i was watching an interview with Paul Van Himst, a real RSC Anderlecht icon who is still very much tied to the club. When he was asked about Romelu Lukaku's future, he answered that he's destined to leave at the end of the season and that his destination will be England for sure. He then went on to say he reckons it's us he's going to and that we already have a deal with the player and his manager.

Just passing on. Wouldn't be surprised though if this went through.

Cant see it my self, he is being linked all over the press to Chelsea this morning. I know they are the most reliable, but can't see levy forking out what they want for lukaku, when he hasnt been that good this season.

If this is true and you're not on the wind-up there will be no one happier with this than me.

I've seen him play in the flesh and my word what an immense talent he is.

Really hope this is true! Him and a drogba-esque experienced striker and we'd be challenging for the title in a couple of years.

I must admit SS57, I'm judging him by reputation alone, and what more knowledgeable people than me have said! He sounds perfect though

Whether or not he is the real deal or not, at the end of the day he has the attributes we so require in a position we are lacking in - that is strength and pace up front.

I admit to have seen very little of him, but undoubtedly he is highly regarded in the football world and I'm sure Ronaldo said he will be one of the top players in the world which is some praise indeed.

Price of course remains the main question but I trust Daniel Levy to get a good deal for us should we deem him the target of Harry's.

This is potentially very exciting news but I disagree about getting him plus a drogba-esque experienced striker - because that's the type of striker Lukaku is. I'd far rather get a different kind of experienced striker in as well as Lukaku to get some variety - a Berbatov-type like um, Berbatov or Falcao, or a wing forward like Hulk or Remy. I think we need to have as many different threats as possible.

Still, Lukaku would be awesome, he's really got the physique to be a winner in the Premiership.

He is the promising striker outside of england and wickham is the most promising striker in England. Sign them both with Drogba to show the kids how its done and i would be happy with no more summer signings

We need a striker with power though...

Just do this lineup

Gomes
Walker--Dawson--Gallas--Bale
VDV--Sandro--Modric
Wickham--Drogba--Lukaku
Bale, Modders and VDV crossing it in for Drogba Lukaku and Wickham

Not being funny but we've failed to bring in just one striker over the past few windows, now you think we'll bring in 3 just like that?
