What was wrong with Malbranque after he hit the post and Keano scored the rebound??

He looked like he was pissed off! He didn't even go to Robbie to celebrate the goal together! he just stood there in a grump and scratched his head! i thought for a minute he was going to take his 'anger' out on Keano!

anyone else see this??

He is never exactly a smiler:) I suppose he would have loved to score a good goal against his old side especially considering the stick he always gets from their fans. I can forgive him one non celebration especially as he is on track for being our player of the season on present form.

I didn't really see that, but I understand that he reacted by taking his head in his hands. It was a great strike in the post, and it would have been a great goal for Malbranque. Robbie got the rebound, and everyone is happy.

If you watch him, it's more like a quick kick in the teeth of hitting the post, he chucks his arms up with a shocked look, but soon smiles and runs over to Keane. I'd react in exactly the same way if that were me against my old club.

It was a jokey sort of gutted reaction. Nothing more. Don't look into it so much.

I'd be pissed too, if I had played as well as him till that point and Keane had done sweet FA, yet still nicked the goal.

:p

Talking about celebrations, did you all see Huddlestone after he scored his first go to the bench and shake hands with KPB? Good to see some spirit in the ranks.

Agreed 100% .

Fulham fans always booing him and i feel sorry for him. it was normal move. Why we didn't do the same for Murphy ? Fulham fans need to look at themselves in the mirror !

How can you say that when spurs fans hung and burnt effigies of Campbell when he first left, then still call him Judas and give him abuse now even though he has moved on to another club since going to Arsenal.

I did see Malbranque show his disappointment at not scoring but then he ran over to Keano and made a motion to the crowd to pump the noise up to which there was a big cheer. I think he would have loved to have scored against his old club. Put in a great performance as well

Because we all wanted Murphy to leave?

Mate, there's a bit of a difference between moving to a local rival for a respectable fee and moving to a club's most hated rivals, lying about it beforehand and doing so on the free transfer, meaning the club that had trained him from a youth player and turned him into the player that he became got no money for his departure.

I think Mr. Legacy said enough about this.

Don't compare Campbell situation with Malbranque.

Even if Campbell left for big big, he left us for the most hated club despite interests from Man Utd, Inter, Barca, Valencia .. Do you know that ?

Because we all wanted Murphy to leave?

We didn't boo him because we don't care about Fulham and the player isn't playing at all.

but Why Fulham care about us ? and they get good deal for Malbranque - who was injuried for 2/3 months - for 2.5m or 4m plus Routldege on loan.

and we could still boo Murphy for leaving for them instead of other clubs. But we didn't because we don't care about Fulham and we still respect/like Murphy.

He did go over to him eventually, I just think he really wanted to sick one past Fulham, he's had a lot of shit from them, would've been a belter too.

we could've had £10m for that gay **** his move wasn't a normal one, he bullshitted himself away for free.

Think of it as a relationship.

Steed is the type who lets you down gently, saves you some dignity and pride.

Campbell is the cheating whore who fucks your best mate then leaves you for them, with all your dignity disintegrated into nothing.

Was it just me or did anyone else notice that Hud didnt look too happy after he scored the 1st of his 2 goals? It was as if he was sulking for being dropped for the previous 5-6 matches, and thinking something like "see what you've missed, Juande?".

Maybe it was just me.

As someone said earlier, if I'd have been working my ass off all game, did all the work upto the goal, gone past a player, hit a shot so sweetly that I didn't even feel it leave my foot, see it beat the goalkeeper only to see it crash off the post and out to Robbie Keane who'd contributed fuck all upto that point - All against my old club where the fans are giving me stick.

I'd be pissed.

But if you read an interview on the Official Site from a few weeks back where Steed said it didn't matter who scored as long as the team won, you wouldn't be overreacting the way you are.

He shook hands again with Boateng after he scored his second.

As for Malbranque, i think it was more of a 'how didn't i score that' as he did catch it quite sweetly.
