Maybe that's how we've moved ahead of clubs, agreeing to let him stay at Bordeaux till summer. If only way to get him is doing it like this then I'm fine with it. He's got potential to be a star and is what our current squad is missing. Saves us a job in summer.

Regardless if we get him now or in the summer, we usually pass up deals like this and then go back in for the player when they've had a decent season or two and are then double the price. Would have been great to get him in now and settle for 6 months before next season!

Granted, I have only watched about 10 minutes of video - but he does not look anything like the N'Brothers. His ability to fire a cannon from 30 yards sets him apart, right off the bat, and he seems much more explosive in his movements - much stronger and quicker, imo.

To be clear, I didn't want to suggest that he is a similar player by any stretch, merely that they all had a similar number of goals and assists over a season, thats all.

He isn't getting any game time at PSG and they don't really plan on using him. Therefore he may be happy to come and use it as a chance to play and put himself out there.

I asked my contact about what he knows about Lucas but he just said he doesn't know what's happening with him - he could just be being coy with me.

If he came to us for the spring, I think he would be more of an impact sub to run at tired defenders late in the match. Would like him to come now because we just don't have that type of player coming off the bench with Son starting.
