I don't think he ever said "now". He seemed to suggest the impact player may be now or may be the summer, more a case of wait and see.

However the JJ "big time" hint has me curious in that maybe we have another bigger target

Hercules has hinted (directly) that there is a separate budget for a special player - should it come to fruition. I think that is a summer signing, and probably from Spain, but maybe elsewhere.

ETA - this was @Hercules comment: Always leaving room for that extra special signing in the budget. There goes a hint

I took that to mean a little bit extra for a player who could also help on the commercial side.

Say said signing was rated as a 10 out of 10 what nr in the scale would you rate Malcom as out of 10 if it came off??

Did you watch the video? I didn't see him beat a man for the ~7 minutes I watched. He manipulated the ball but didn't actually beat a man.


I have, explicitly and implicitly. He doesn't have an overreliance as much as only a right foot.


Perhaps it is a problem with your 'understanding' and not so much the facts in evidence. Plays in a better team with higher expectations againts better quality opponents...and is better. All that equals less of a work in progress.


Could have something to do with his left foot being exceptionally talented beyond almost anything ever seen in the footballing world. Thus it can be excused. And at Malcom's age Messi was already dominating teams on the European stage with only that left foot. Bit of a difference wouldn't you say?


Did you see him get walked down by Jordan Amavi in that Marseille video? That is post-ACL, Aston-Villa Jordan Amavi. And he did it multiple times in that vid.

Plus, he is 20 and he does score an alright amount of goals. I would only expect that to naturally improve with age in our team and with our manager.
