36M Euros including bonuses. Definitely a price we would have no problem paying had we been after him. Hopefully this means we're going all out for Martial.
I’m not sure it means anything. I’m genuinely befuddled by what our plans are this window. I think deadline day will be monkeyfuck mental though

Bring a young bargain in if we can (Grealish) before the last week of the window and then wait until the last minute to nab some big talent, who spent last season on the bench, from a bug European club.

Will it work?

Who knows?

Oh trust me, i'm on the verge of depression thinking about our window.. :shifty: Or lack of, to be correct. I really thought we would go out there and get a marquee signing to primarily strengthen our starting eleven, but also for the new stadium. I should have known better being optimistic :woot:

Will certainly be interesting to watch how the next couple of seasons play out for both. Also will be interesting to see how Roma find playing time for both Under and Malcom as both pretty much play the same role and will both need a lot of play time to develop further.

I wonder if this could mean that there was possibly some truth in that Cengiz to Spurs story after all? Who knows.

Not sure why we'd really want to do Under if we clearly didn't really want Malcom. We clearly only want to add a winger who can play as a striker as well.

I'd imagine Levy is already on the phone with Bordeaux trying to sell them Nkoudou/Sissoko... Hopefully.

I think i speak for a lot of people when I say that Moura needs to really justify us not going after this guy, personally feel it wasnt the correct call but we have seen glimpses from Moura and I'd be more than happy to be wrong.

We're 4th place if we didn't buy Lucas Moura. Think he's shown a lot in the little amount of time he's been given.

Wonderful signing by Roma at a fantastic price in this market. Monchi knows what he is doing when it comes to signing good players...

More like we sign Grealish for £40m on deadline day and no one else.

See, this is where people are going wrong. Being optimistic goes against everything that has been ingrained into Spurs fans over the last [pick a number between 30 and forever] years.

The gods of football hate us, absolutely hate us, to the extent that they spend copious amounts of time dreaming up new and interesting ways to break our hearts. (See, for example: most of our history.) The only way we can fight back is to accept it, and never, ever dare to hope, because this appears to be the sacrificial offering the football gods require.

A Spurs fan's default position should be complete and total pessimism. If you approach a transfer window expecting all of our players to be sold for 27p each, and replaced by the first 11 people through the turnstiles on any given matchday, anything else, anything at all, will make you happy.

It is, like all things in life, about balance. Something on one end of the plank is balanced by something on the other end. And Spurs fans? We get to be the rock the plank is balanced on. Sometimes.

There was such a massive buzz about Malcom when JJ said we were close on deadline day in January.

I assume he fucked us about and so we decided we were never going back for him?

Would love to know the full story. Apologies if this was discussed previously and I missed it.

Personally I think Bordeaux priced him to high and PSG was offering a great deal on Lucas.

Went for Lucas meaning we didn’t need Malcom.

Unfortunate because he looks a talent.

Not sure how reliable this is but a similar thing did happen with Sissoko on deadline day...

Supposedly Bordeaux have revoked Roma’s permission to do Malcom medical. No details as to why yet but some speculating another club has come in at the last moment

Lol at the replies and retweets. Every fanbase seems to think this is due to their team's involvement.
