None of the players they would offer us would be any upgrade on players we already have, the ones that would aren't going to be available. Tevez is the only one that would fill both critera, but he has come back into the fold so its doubtful he would even be available. Adebayor being included in any deal wouldn't add that much value as its obvious he is a spare part at Citeh

If someone offered us silly money, 60m say, then I wouldn't necessarily be averse to seeing him go provided we had a replacement in place before hand (and no, Adam Johnson is not a replacement in any way shape or form). As devastating as he is on his day, he has been frustrating alot this season

I wouldn't even start to consider what values would be acceptable until bale demanded a move (and refused to play otherwise). He's irreplaceable. Even with 50mill I can't think of who we could get to take his spot and do what he does.

if we do the deal, first we will need to bolster our striker, and left wing from it. 40m + de jong + johnson wont do us any good because we wont be replacing bale with johnson, and dejong will just be playing the same role as sandro and parker. either, 50mil + tevez/adebayor, so we can splash the rest on hazard and damiao,
