Can't argue with the result when you set up negatively and then compound that by becoming even more negative when the game is still in the balance.

I can guarantee that no one on SC would have inflicted the Winks/Sissoko partnership on us at any point in this game.

Why can we not shake these 2 woefully average midfield players!?

I don’t mind that we are outplayed, out classed etc. What I do mind is that those players can’t even string 3 feckin passes together. It’s disgraceful that performance. Really is. Toby and Dier did well, the rest wouldn’t even get in my 5aside team.
Not Mason’s fault, when they showed him at the end there, my Mrs said ‘oh I feel sorry for him, he looks like a lad that was stood up on a date’

explains it all.

1-0 down in a cup final 10 minutes to go and we don't press the ball once. Piss poor. Only Dier,Toby and Hugo getting any credit whatsoever. Shackles off once Jose's gone? Do me a favour.

Man U 1–1, brings Sissoko on for a creative player, everything goes to shit
Man C 0-0, brings Sissoko on for a creativity player, everything goes to shit

We sacked a manager - right decision, wrong time!
All Ryan did and Im not gonna entire blame him is play British players that we all know was shit! - Alli and Winks
Bale did nothing! All the hype but nothing.
Levy has made bad bad decisions time and again...
The players don't have a winning mentality. they can't even pass the fucking ball!!!

Man city are simply on another level to us. In the end the result was much better than how I feared. We were ok in the second half and defended largely very well. I think it probably a mistake to take of Lucas and Lo Celso as I felt they were our two best options at beating the press. We looked nervous, man city looked calm. You know there's no shame in the result I don't think anyone let themselves down. It's just man city are a well oiled machine and we are, well, have very little sense of identity or clarity to what we do, we're trying to play out the back now, but pretty hard to do at this point in the season against Man city.

At least it was better than a month or so ago, but it is always a shame we couldn't any clear cut chances, not helped by them hacking us down whenever a break was on, but I also think we rushed our decisions in the final third as if there was a timer or something, and this didn't help.

I'm not too disappointed if we won this it would have been one for the books.

That painful rebuild can't come soon enough.
Honestly be happy to never see all but 1 or 2 of these players play for us again. (and the one will probably be the only one that goes...)

spineless, gutless, lifeless, lethargic and cowardly. Slow in body and mind.

City must've thought they were playing against those mannequins from the training ground.

our new club motto should to dare is fine but it'safer if i just back off. (not quite as catchy ;) )

Wasn't expecting anything from the game but the amount of times our players don't turn up in games that matter is staggering.
