Goes without saying I really, really hope we win tomorrow. Kane on the pitch will be massive. No player is bigger than the club but at the same time there is no man that deserves to hold the trophy up high than he does tomorrow, it would be amazing to finally see him do it.
So not wrong. Nice to see your name pop up again ??

This time last week my dad unexpectedly passed away so it’s been a pretty horrendous week and I haven’t been able to enjoy the build up to this at all.
I’m going to take a couple of hours out from sorting his house today, hopefully our mighty club can pull off an extraordinary result.
More than anything I’d love it for Ryan and everything he has had to face, COYS.

Morning you great tits and chaffinches.

Another final beckons. Not as prestigious, granted, as the Champions League one, but a final nonetheless.

I’m putting all my known European suburban voodoo in this one to break the hoodoo that seems to follow us around in critical matches. This includes:
  • Betting against us- currently 1/2 at Sky Bet. Tenner lodged already
  • Wearing my replica double winning Tottenham shirt, despite being middle aged and currently experiencing what the Romans called ‘The thickening’
  • Ignoring the children’s requests for food. Every time I feed them, we lose a game
  • Allowing the family hound to eat my favourite left shoe- bizarrely seemed to work in the late Poch era
  • Saying ‘fuckity yes’ at the end of every sentence between now and the final whistle. Can get me in a lot of trouble with Sue if I pop into Londis for half time refreshments
  • Performing my wang dang doodle dance half naked on the communal green every time we get a corner. Doesn’t always work, but if combined with the rest of the rituals can be devastatingly effective
  • Avoiding the local constabulary until the final whistle

Come on you mother flipping Tottenham, make the unexpected happen

...fuckity yes

All about ifs and buts today.
If Manchester City are at there best we'll find it extremely hard but anything else and we should win.
Our match winners will win this for us, we got this, this is our day.

COME ON YOU SPURS

On my way to Philly to watch this with my best friend(whose City - yes shockingly i actually have friends) & spotted Dier’s doppleganger waiting for the train. Unfortunately i can’t grab a pic because he wont lift his head. Bit like the actual Eric Dier trying to defend
Could you try to smuggle him into Wembley and swap him before the match with the Real Dier please ?

I think I’m excited then I realise we are Spurs. But, we’ve been here so many times before. We’ve lost. The last two league cup finals and the CL final all losing. We’ve been knocked out of the fa cup in the semis countless times in recent years. So we’re owed one.
We have one of our own running the team, a lad who’s been with us since he was 9 and who it technically still a lad. I love the romance in football, call it destiny. His career was cut so short but perhaps this was his destiny.
To see Ryan lift that trophy with tears on his eyes will make this season some what more poetic.
It’s 1 game. 90 minutes of football, anything can happen.

Here’s my team talk before we walk out.
“Boys, fuck me what a season. You have been through everything but you’re still here, you’re at Wembley with an opportunity to lift a trophy. How many times have you been been here? As a club we have lost finals over the years but this is your chance to win. Don’t let it slip you by. Press hard and fast, follow your man, play to your strengths. 90 minutes of football and anything can happen. On our day we are the strongest team going forward in the league, so let’s get at them. Push for that early goal and then keep up the pressure. They’re going to expect us to sit back, because under that tosser it’s all we’ve done this season. Hit them hard and fast, they won’t be expecting it.
Get out there and give the fans a trophy to celebrate.
Come on boys!!!!!!”

Been told Kane is fit and plays today. Very solid source.

Trained yesterday, passed his fitness test and told Mason he is ready to play.

Football London, think it'll be this team.

Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Dier, Reguilon; Winks, Hojbjerg, Ndombele; Bale, Kane, Son.

I like the look of that.

I think we’ll get scoring chances, and probably early in the match. Cup finals are always nervy. We capitalize, I think we’ll do them. Up to the players far more than Mason this one.

That's the thing, though.

Let's face it, in the whole footballing world, as well as on here, nobody really fancies our chances of getting a result against one of, if not the best teams in Europe.

So, in a way, there's not really any reason for the players to be nervous. There's no pressure on them to win, and I reckon young Mason may well tell the players exactly that.

They'll have worked on a few things in training, of course. But I reckon the message from Mason will be to just go out there, express & give a good account of themselves, and just give the supporters something to be proud of.

It's kind of a free hit really.

It's the hope that kills you. But, anything can happen. 40 years since the 81 cup final v them. 100 years since the first time donning the cockerel on the shirt. The year ends in one. Decent record in recent years v them. They have a big semi final in the week, we don't play until next Sunday night, meaning we can leave it all out there for 90 minutes (is there extra time?). We're the underdogs by a mile. Not expected to win. Which I think helps us. No pressure. Just play the game.

Now the day is here, I am buzzing. COYS.

Tbh I'd rather see Lamela and a bit of his shithousery than Winks. At least we know he'll give 110%. Plus he has the additional quality to open up City's defence.

Other than that I'm happy enough. The key for me is getting Reguilon high enough up the pitch that his attacking quality is highlighted rather than his poor defensive abilities.

We deserve to win this so much and Man City don’t. Let’s just hope somehow we can find a way.

I've modelled all eventualities, cogitated on the best tactics and system with which we should approach this game and I have arrived at a very carefully considered conclusion which is that we should:-

ATTACK!
ATTACK!
ATTACKATTACKATTACK!

My prematch team talk would be
CHAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGE!

We got this.
COYS
