I think if Jose had stayed manger we would have had a less defensive performance. It is worrying that Ryan does not appear to have the strength or authority to change things. Change is certainly required to these gutless players and the way they play. A wasted opportunity to win a trophy as we went down with a whimper.

The one thing that gets me angry, is somehow we managed to get through the first half even and actually started playing football in the second. You then bring on Sissoko for all Celso, our only creative player, and sub Lucas who was the only attacker making a difference. Yes were poor, but we actually had a chance to win and that chance was taken away by some idiotic subs. I actually feel cheated. This club is an absolute shambles at the moment.

It visibly turned the game back into their favour straightaway.

What word would you use to describe the decision to go with a midfield of Winks, Sissoko, and Hojbjerg when we needed a goal to lift a trophy, then?
Look, it would have been incredibly naive to rebalance the side into a more attacking one. We would have happily taken penalties. Particularly as Man city also really don't want extra time. The decision was a logically sound one, I think it was incorrect, but it made a lot of sense. Bale on and a player that would allow our forward line to be more attacking and play ahead of Kane if needed.

Tell you what, for most of the 2nd half I thought Kane was putting in a herculean performance, he was surrounded by some absolutely awful performances.

Poor bastard. If we're going to force him to stay, we need to make some serious changes to make it worth his while.

Won't be able to afford changes. Have to make sure Daniel gets his considerable salary and bonus.

Why can't Sissoko jump? It's mad how many goals from set pieces he's been directly responsible for. He literally can't get off the ground.

Complete lack of effort. And completely inexcusable. Don’t mind when you’re clearly not as talented on the ball as others. But not concentrating or putting in the effort is unforgivable.

Even with one leg he'd would have created more than Harry Wanks
Winks wasn’t in there to create but he didn’t do what he was selected for. He’s just not good enough. End of.

The team never turn up for finals. The annoying thing is it feels like we don’t even give it a go. I’d rather we lose having no regrets that we tried to actually win the game but there was no hint of how we were planning to do that other that a moment of magic or luck.

Man City played at the top of their game and also had some refereeing assistance. We hung in there for most of the game

Credit to Lloris who was brilliant
