Was scared for moment when the ref called over Hudd and reached in his pocket. Thought it could all fall to pieces at that point. But apart from Tevez, they were no threat at all to Leds and Daws and Gomes.
The Bale-Bents double act in the corner, running down the clock, was great to watch.
If we pip Arsenal as well I may smile so widely my head will split in half.

What did Levy have to say?

Quite a bit

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has hailed the work of manager Harry Redknapp after the club qualified for the UEFA Champions League.

Spurs booked a place in the qualifying round of next season's competition as Peter Crouch earned a 1-0 win at Manchester City on Wednesday night to guarantee at least fourth spot in the Premier League.

The achievement marks an impressive turnaround for Tottenham after Redknapp inherited a side battling against relegation when he succeeded Juande Ramos in October 2008.

"It is an amazing achievement," Levy told Sky Sports News.

"Harry and the players have done a magnificent job. It is fantastic for the club and obviously the fans. It is a real achievement."
Great news

Levy added: "I always knew Harry was a great manager. This is a team sport, clearly he has made a great contribution, but also credit needs to go to the team."

Tottenham missed out on the Champions League in 2006 when a bout of food poising decimated their squad and they suffered defeat at West Ham on the last day of the season.

But Levy believes it would have been more difficult to stomach missing out on the continent's top club competition this term after a consistent campaign in which Spurs have rarely been outside of the top four.

He said: "This is slightly different this time because we have been there most of the season in the top four and we all would have been really gutted if we hadn't achieved it."

Levy also acknowledges the financial benefits that the Champions League, which is estimated to be worth £50million to clubs, will bring as planning is under way to build a new stadium to replace White Hart Lane.

He added: "I wouldn't want to put a price on it but it is great news for the club, particularly as we are in the throws of considering building a new stadium."

Mine eyes have seen the Glory of the coming of the Spurs
They are trampling over City, and get Champion's League for Fourth
They have loosed the valiant defending of the King and Michael Daws
Their day is marching on!

Glory, Glory, Tottenham Hotspur
Glory, Glory, Tottenham Hotspur
Glory, Glory, Tottenham Hotspur
And the Spurs go marching on!

I have seen them making runs up both the wings and from the back
With Defoe and Pavluychenko, Peter Crouch up in attack
And with Gomes in the goal, well our defence will never slack,
Our day is marching on!

Glory, Glory, Tottenham Hotspur
Glory, Glory, Tottenham Hotspur
Glory, Glory, Tottenham Hotspur
And the Spurs go marching on!

With big Huddlestone and Modric in the centre, we look tight
And of course Wilson Palacios who will put up a fight
And with Bale flying down the wing, the future's looking bright,
Our day is marching on!

Glory, Glory, Tottenham Hotspur
Glory, Glory, Tottenham Hotspur
Glory, Glory, Tottenham Hotspur
And the Spurs go marching on!

I have seen that Harry Redknapp giving orders from the line
And he picks attacking teams, so our football is just divine
Our lads soaked him with water, so he turned it into wine,
His day is marching on!

Glory, Glory, Tottenham Hotspur
Glory, Glory, Tottenham Hotspur
Glory, Glory, Tottenham Hotspur
And the Spurs go marching on!

By the way, I couldn't be there, but the Walkabout in Temple has never seen three more devoted Spurs fans in its life! We were leading the chants from the 1st minute. We rocked the joint! I was literally in tears, and I will be again when I see our boys walk out to that music. We deserve it, 100%.

So proud of you Spurs, so proud. xx
