Slot and Ange are really close in terms of style and approach so I can see that.

But we may have got the better pick as Ange has had to fight against opinions and difficult scenarios for a long time. Whereas Slot has only been a coach for 3 years.

I could see Slot end up in the PL and doing similar to Ange though
Slot was my n.o1 Ange n.o2 but I think we got it absolutely spot on with Ange given his experience, personality and communication.

That being said I’d absolutely love to see Slot take over from Ange in a good number of years time, it would be a very smooth transition, another very likeable character who plays very similar football.

First time I've watched it, and I have to say, if it gets posted another dozen times, that still isn't enough. US sports mythology is full of stuff about great pregame speeches, but this one has them all beat. Most of all because it is authentic, not something reworked by a studio writer. It's all in his words.

I think he’s going to relish the challenge this weekend. Where we had Conte saying we were still miles behind big teams and honestly setting us up like he was scared of getting battered, Ange will be fearless. Yes he’ll be aware and plan for Arsenal and for us having a bit less of the ball but I think we’ll go there to put pressure on them, rattle them and try and silence the crowd. He’ll have the team fired up and looking forward to taking them on rather than being in fear or their ability.

you mean like the one that got them their goal?! Don’t be so condescending. That Jurassic wanker almost lwft with 3points in his pocket
Managers cut their cloth by the quality of players they have at their disposal. You can’t blame him for his chosen tactics.
I agree that every team should be entitled to play how they want.

Heckingbottom or whatever his name is a prat though because he hid behind a refs poor performance instead of standing up and saying "yes we tried to employ tactics to slow the game down and take the sting out of it."

I’m just teasing, there was a point in the manager hunt where almost every other post was someone posting that video, or the musings of their mate who supports Celtic.
I haven’t got any mates and they both support Celtic.

Why oh why did Conte think this was a good strategy. At least when Jose said similar things it did seem like an attempt at mindgames to put pressure on the opposition. Conte just seemed like he was interested in protecting his own reputation (‘if we lose it’s not my fault’). A really odd guy.

He's not going to admit that though, as it will mean other refs will watch out for it more with them.

For a manager that was so keen to make the point they wanted to play out from the back they could have slowed the game down and wasted time with the ball in play. Its not necessary to do it when the ball is out of play.

And if he's not willing to admit to it then he's really got nothing to complain about. Right now he just looks like he's gaslighting the entire football public

We’ve got two cars. Their regos are THFC and SPURS. In the 12 years we’ve had them they’ve attracted little interest here in Northern Australia - until the last few weeks that is. Now it seems that everywhere we go we’re attracting questions and comments, particularly how much we rate AP. He’s regarded as almost a saint here and the exposure Tottenham is getting from people who have, sometimes, little interest in “soccer” is quite phenomenal. I love it.

It's because it's not a typical manager speech where the manager says all this lightbulb shite and comes up with weird metaphors to try and get the players up for it, it's almost not a inspirational speech at all in a way, it's like your best mate at work giving you a pep talk 1 on 1 when he can see you've not been yourself lately or you're worried about a job interview or something, it's extremely organic and natural, you know there's no bullshit and what he's saying is pure.

That's why other teams are absolutely pissed we have him because he's just straight up a pure human being. Forget all the tactics and inverted wingers and triple double quadruple pivots, sometimes thats all players (humans) need.

Ange has the tactics of pep with the arm round the shoulder of Redknapp and the straight talking yet loveable giant of Martin Jol and an Aussie accent to top it all off 👌
