Great to finally get a manager in play on a long term contract who wants his team to go and play on the front foot. Long road ahead but I sense this will sit well with the players we want to retain and have a good feeling about this appointment, doesn’t have the same immediate inevitable outcome that Jose and Conte had. I’m still a firm Levy out (of all football decisions) camp, but this type of appointment brings us back to what I think Spurs should be about. The last few years always felt we were trying to hard to be something that just didn’t suit us, let’s play with a bit of swagger and flair again, stop obsessing about the narrative that you can’t enjoy supporting your team unless lifting trophies. COYS. My son who is 10 and has endured spurs for the last 3 years even said “oh the guy from Celtic, they played really well against Real Madrid and he seems like a nice guy” perfectly sums it up for me!
