Maybe it points to the fact there was in fact a plan.
Plays like Pep, says he can't coach defensive football so don't expect it. Likes fast wingers and lots of quick aggressive passing. At Celtic he was playing a 433 with one inverted full back so in attack it's a 235 and they press in a 442 shape. Can someone give me the low down on him. Formations, style of play etc. I've not been keeping up to date due to work commitments
The way I see it is even if it goes up in flames at least due to his ultra attacking style we will have taken the first steps in realigning ourselves with the sort of team we should be. Best case scenario we have discovered a tactical genius who takes us to the top, worst case the building blocks will be in place for whoever follows.
Looking at his spell at Yokohama I think we should be prepared for a pretty rocky season TBH. I'm assuming the 4 year contract is a sign that the coming season will be seen as a transitional one which is good as it probably will be considering the overall state of the team and the style of football we have been playing over the last few years.4-year deal is nice, but also a bit of a warning that neither side expect the club to immediately turn things around in this upcoming season.

A bit painful - but really the right long-term move.Looking at his spell at Yokohama I think we should be prepared for a pretty rocky season TBH. Levy ain't paying him to go on Holliday mate.Interesting that is says in the club statement that he doesn't join us until 1st July. I'm sure it is just contractual language but I hope that doesn't mean our transfer business won't start until after then
Aussie Ardilles. Can someone give me the low down on him. Formations, style of play etc. I've not been keeping up to date due to work commitments
I doubt it, it seems like there general consensus we had from the beginning is there was a list of candidates and we worked our way down it.
Not saying AP was at the bottom of the list either, but regardless of where he was we would've had to wait for the Scottish season to end before opening discussions as to not disrupt Celtic's season and fuck up our negotiations with the board by shooting too quick.
Either way, I'm quite happy with the appointment. I was apprehensive at first, but I've come round to the idea that he may just be the man we need to take us forward. God knows we needed one.
