Positives!

•Media seem to be on his side
•Wants to play positive football
•Expectations won’t be as high as if we had hired Poch, Nagelsmann.
•Might be able to open the door to signing players from asia

nagatives:-

•Could be a suicidal Bielsa-esque experience
•Might be hounded out before he gets a chance.
I'm pleasantly surprised by the media love-in. It's really exciting and bodes well for his first phase as manager. I'm not sure we'd have got this with Slot or Nagelsmann - they'd be constantly keen to tear them down. I don't think they will with Ange.

Really want to see him do this with a number of our pundits and journos.
Just goes to show what a lot of "football people" know. The square root of fuck all most of the time. Just looking at results is a dangerous way to make decisions. He's got a bit of the mongrel in him as the Aussies like to say

And whether Levy fobs him off with cheap alternatives
Don't be surprised if Ange likes a bargain... with all his connections in the far east and his eye for talents... I don't think we will se many big money transfers and star names coming in at the beginning... it's also important that we listen to Ange and the people he works with.

We have seen enough of Lo Celso to know he's rubbish. One goal in 53 games from attacking midfield. The curled shots that are all 3 feet wide of the left post. We have to move on from him and the other players given ample opportunity but found wanting.
He’s never been played in the style and system he was bought for.

He ran the show under Jose a few times when given more freedom and he looked good under Mason in a high posession attacking 4-2-3-1.

Question is does he want to even stay at spurs and try again or not.

If I’m Big Ange wanting to play a high possssion attacking 4-3-3 I’d be 💯 looking to utilise Lo Celso.

I think there’s a bit of stuff that if Arteta or Rodgers had said it, we’d have all been saying it was a bit odd (his policy of never spending more than a minute with any player on a one on one basis possibly) but other than that, agree with you.
Yea I thought that was a bit weird / OTT but his reasoning was that he treats everyone the same etc.

He seems like a good bloke, I’m sure that quote is a bit exaggerated, I doubt he has his stop watch to hand making sure he moves on before 1 minute is up 😂😆 having more of a simple and to the point manager is a good thing though, Jose and Conte were far too complicated and emotional.

Big Ange says what he wants and he expects his teams to do it.

I don’t think for Ange that will matter as much and if we get the recruitment right we can still build a very good side over time.

He made some incredible bargain signings at Celtic and signed a new front 3 for peanuts 🥜 in todays market.

Happy for Ange and like i mentioned earlier - very intrigued by him. I despise that word 'backed' but hop this is a start of a new era where everyone is on the same page. This is an entirely different feeling than when we got our previous manager or two.

Bringing in Ange signals restarting and rebuilding, whereas the previous incumbents were about trying to paper over the cracks except that paper felt they were too good for us.

This is what fans seem to disregard when talking about Lo Celso and Ndombele. Both were bought to play in a high pressing, possession heavy team. But before they had a chance to settle we switched to a defensive minded counter attacking manager.

So I wouldn't necessarily call them poor signings, it's more that they were not suited to our radical change in approach.

Lo Celso has proven at Villareal that he is still a top player, so it would be good if he is given a chance. Ndombele, as much as I love him, I have doubts he can work at the intensity they we need from him as a premier league player.

Awesome band! You posting them just made me do a quick google, and they're randomly playing in my city tonight :O

Edit: it's sold out :(
Sold out in Oslo on Friday as well. Been that for months already. Maybe you can get lucky in Malmø tomorrow.

Matt Smith won back-to-back titles under Postecoglou at Brisbane Roar and says the boss was not content with simply winning, he wanted to "change the whole scope of how Australian football was perceived"."

"Ange's massive strength is his ability to be able to bring players along that journey and buy into what he does," the former Brisbane captain tells BBC Sport."

"There's zero tolerance for players that don't want to follow. We were never made to feel comfortable, we were always pushing to be better, always developing, always working harder than any group I've experienced before."

"It didn't matter if you were the biggest player in the dressing room or the youngest - if you weren't pulling your weight or following his principles, he was very ruthless."

Lo Celso yes, Ndombele couldn’t press a shirt with an iron or a doorbell with a finger if he tried
