Anyone else feeling totally excited and that this bloke is perfect for us?

The way he speaks, conducts himself, his attitude towards not just football but other humans.

If Levy gives him half a chance and we can see our the initial rocky patch I genuinely think this could be something special.

Has ExpressionsOozing been slating Ange? I haven't had a chance to watch any of his vids lately but been hearing he's not been very nice about the new boss

Our players are going to love hiding behind him. Can see them revelling in it.

Unless we have a lot of movement out I can see him fronting up and the current lot letting him down.

He's really going to have his work cut out, I hope he has a good holiday in preparation!
Thankfully, with no European football it gives Ange more leverage to tell players they're not in his plans. Once he gets the 30 odd players back for pre-season he'll be making very quick judgements to cut that to 22-23 before a couple of additions. Hopefully, some of that work is under way already.

As much as Levy likes holding out for fees, without European football it's pointless to keep players around on big wages who aren't going to feature.

Wouldn't surprise me if we hear of Lloris & Perisic being the first to depart over the next few weeks.

agreed - id have to think Lloris, Davies, Perisic, Winks and Dier could be allowed to leave for next to nothing (a la Doherty) in order to get their wages of the bill. Sanchez, GLC, Tanguy and a few others should have more re-sale value so unless they tear it up in pre-season under Ange they could do with being moved on too.

🤤 I’m getting my season ticket back, sexy football is returning.

To be fair, the other team could have been us for the last 4 years, retreating to the edge of our box with zero pressure on the ball. It’s why so many teams have found it easy to dominate possession. Thank fuck it’s over.

He is Arsenal Fan TV for Spurs.

fun to laugh at, especially after a loss, but completely useless for any serious purposes.

We need a more athletic left back than Davies. He's declining for me so now is the right time to move him on. He's looked poor for a number of goals this season. He doesn't have end product going forward and doesn't have the recovery pace to stop counters. We should be capable of getting a younger replacement, he's not going to be too hard to replace.
Problem is we cannot replace LLoris, Dier, Sanchez, Kane, Sess, Ndombele, Lo Celso, Gil, Winks, Langlet and Davies at the same time. Even if we dont replace all of them we are likely to need 1 or 2 cbs a gk and a midfielder/forward and potentially a striker. Getting 6 in (whilst paying for Kulu) is more than Spurs can stretch to at the moment, that being said 2 of Dier, Davies, Langlet or Sanchez are likely to have to remain as squad players. Of them i'd rather have Davies as he (whilst being fairly average) is more reliable than the other 3 in my opinion.

Also have to consider max 17 non English/Welsh players in Premier League squad of 25 , will need eight home grown for a full squad & Dier counts as foreign

I want Davies to stay. He's a solid 6/10 type player.

Udogie could be useful next year. Unpopular opinion but I think Ndombele could surprise us in an Ange system.

Raya, Laporte, Madison and we look a lot stronger especially with Bissouma coming back in at the start of the season. Bentancur is a bit of the way off so would like to bolster the pivot as well. If we could get some cash from PEH and reinvest it would be nice....a lot of people seem to rate Hatate at Celtic.

If we could get £50m for Richarlison I would'nt mind selling and reinvesting.

We don't need to replace them because the squad is too big. I think it depends what formation he will play but I imagine it will be a back 4. If he had a back 3 Davies could cover at LCB as well as left back and wing back. So he could be a utility player option. However we do have Sess, Udogie and Reguilon already for left back. If we are planning to go back 4 most of the time then that's one less position for him to cover (left centre as cant play in a central 2). I'd be really tempted to go and get a solid left back or try Reguilon/Sess as they're still young. Neither has played in an attacking side yet either.

We could quiet easily sell/release/loan Tanganga, Sanchez, Davies, Winks, Ndombele, Reguilon/Sess and Lo Celso without even being left short anywhere.

No disagreement there however we seem to have popularised it amongst ourselves and it's getting tiring now.

Pochball, Joseball and Conteball were more than enough.
Thank goodness Alfonso Mygiantleft never went into football management.

24hrs into the job and he hasn't thrown anyone under a bus or bitched about transfers. That's new.

for sure you know very well this is the history of Tottenham and the president Levy

I repeat. This is a failed club

Sure but we need more than 1. Although Sess or Reguilon could be the other. I would be tempted to look for a more defensive option though. Like an Emerson for the more defensive fullback. Davies could be that but I really think he's getting found out more now and going to struggle defending quick wingers. I wonder how Cirkin is developingnow, he always looked to have good potential for that role.

Don’t feel like the club have made much of this appointment! Reckon we will get more media content when he actually starts July 1st?
