I hope the energy he brings evolves our home games in terms of fan noise over the next few months so the stadium can become a fortress again, teams should be scared to play us at home. If any manager can get the fans working as our twelfth man again, it’s Ange.

I know it’s cliche but with confidence and momentum you can do something special. Look at Arsenal last year, we all kept on thinking they’ll start to slip soon then it was October and we thought give it till Christmas then it came round to Christmas and we’re like any day now, then Jan came and we’re still expecting a slip up but they just kept riding the wave. Probably wasn’t until Feb/March that we just accepted that they were in the race and was hard seeing them dropping any points. It was glorious when they did, though.

They were wrong for us and there is definitely a younger generation of managers who are playing great football while getting good results, but Mourinho has done a pretty decent job at Roma since leaving us.

Has he? I think the cup win masks over the fact they underperform. I think lumping them both in together is unhelpful. Conte was a bad fit and I don't think he was invested in what we needed, but I do think he'll have success again, Mourinho, for me, is finished as a top level manager

I've never gotten much from sketches or comics but maybe that makes me part of the newer, entitled, ungrateful generation or something or other those crazy Boomers call us

Hoping someone can help as I’m banned from posting in the ITK thread. Anyway it appears to be all doom and gloom over there that Ange isn’t happy with not getting in a CB. This is fair enough, however there are posts mentioning how it went downhill when previous managers weren’t backed and just wondering has there been any news that there has been a falling out already? Or is it just people bed wetting as usual?

To condense a lot of faff, he's not happy with the CB depth we've been left with, but he is happy with the amount of work done on the squad as a whole. He is fine. There has been no falling out. The end.

The best thing I can say about Ange right now is that for the first time in a long time I’m actually looking forward to our next game and the international break is annoying again instead of a welcome relief!

Let’s hope that lessons have been learnt and that we never again hire a defensive minded manager. We’re just not the type of fans that can get behind that approach to the game. It should have been obvious but I can understand the desire to try something new after coming so close with Poch. It must however be settled now, win or lose we can never afford to forget that we as a club need to attack in order for any of this to be worth a damn!
