Wear something really subtle so that he cant call you out on it and if so you can easily just say "What you on about you weirdo? I am professional"

Or keep dropping the word VAR into random sentences. "Oof its a bit VARm today isnt it?"

Then when he tries to call you out pretend he is being paranoid

I'm always fully onboard for this kind of childishness! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Controversial, and I am thinking out loud rather than expressing a personal opinion, but here is one way of looking at our prem results so far this season

Brentford - draw - I don't think they have won at home in the Prem so far this season
Man Utd - win - very dysfunctional side ATM who didn't have their shooting boots on in the first half against us
Bournmouth - win - meh
Burnley - win - promoted team who have only won one game this season (against another promoted team)
Shef Utd - win - took us 102 mins to beat a promoted team at home who then got 8 put past them the following week
Woolwich - draw - stand out performance to come back twice away to your biggest rivals
Liverpool - win - 9/10 men, disallowed goal and 96th minute og

Ange is playing our start down, and he may be right to be cautious.

another way of looking at it... Points taken compared to the corresponding fixture last year.

Brentford - draw - +1 on last year.
Man Utd - win - +2 on last year
Bournmouth - win same points
Burnley - win - same points (leeds)
Shef Utd - win - same points (Southampton)
Woolwich - draw - +1 on last year
Liverpool - win - +3 on last year.

We are already +7 points from 7 games against corresponding fixtures from last season

Not having a go here but I’ve always thought game for game comparisons to be completely pointless

so many variables it’s not comparing like for like

for me it's more about the way we're playing than the results. we could be on 8-10 points from those 7 games and i'd still be optimistic

Brentford draw - we were the better team, even with a handful of debutants in the starting XI.
Man UTD - We were the better team. Yes, they are erratic, but we looked far more unified and bedded into a system than a team that should be a year ahead of us.
Bournmouth - we were the much better team. Period.
Burnley - got lucky we only scored 5.
Sheff UTD - another way to look at this is that we played them off the park, and if they had won, it would have been pure luck.
Arse - again, we were the better team
Pool - weird game against the team we haven’t beaten in six years, who is arguably one of the top 5 clubs in the world over the last 5 years. We have a young team still learning their way. Playing against 10 or 9 requires patience and intelligence. They learnt a lot in that game.

Not one of those games do I think we deserved to lose. And the ones we drew, we probably should have won.

It is a testament to the players and coaching staff that they’ve instilled a ‘never say die’ attitude so quickly within the playing squad. It’s a huge contrast to last season, when you could see heads go down all the time. The mindset change alone is a huge victory worthy of celebration.

He's right to be cautious but everyone who knew Ange said we'd start slowly and get better. The start is a massive bonus I thought we'd be struggling & Ange would be defending himself to keep his job because the English media didn't know anything about him. Massive game against Luton to keep the momentum

There speaks a true long-standing Spurs fan, scarred by years of false dawns. We share your pain.

But it’s OK to hope. It just might, might, be different this time.

Just to add that Man Utd are dysfunctional right now because we broke their spirit and they still haven’t figured out how we ripped their plans to shreds. They had won their only other game before that but I think they’ve been shell shocked since that 2nd half against us where they realise how far off they are.
