What’s the difference between an expected assist and and expected assisted goal? You can see why some people make fun of stattos as nerds when they have this kind of stat.

I know I'm the one who posted those stats, but I hate the expected stats nonsense. I don't see how it can be considered a stat when it's subjective, makes no sense.

I kind of get Xg. But it’s something that only works with a very large sample size. So during games it doesn’t mean much, but over the course of 7 or 8, fine it shows a trend. But expected assists, expected assisted goals…what’s the difference.

The stats you posted definitely show a positive trend though. It’s astonishing how we’ve turned around from last season.
