It's very rare to have a manager where there are no buts or ifs.

People criticised Levy when he interviewed Ten Hag and rumour had it that he wasn't impressed by the way he conveyed himself.

Once he interviewed Ange, I imagine the decison was an easy one. He comes across well and he demands respect.

When things are going well, it's all about the players, when things go wrong he takes responsibility. If I was part of the squad I'd run through walls for him.

There are no shortcuts, no indecision, just a straight line from where he is to where he wants to be.

More than anything his football philosophy is 100% spurs. He encapsulates to dare is to do.

I love to listen to him, I don't think I've enjoyed listening to a manager as much as him. Poch was confusing, Conte was always complaining, José was interesting but his footballing philosophy was anti spurs.
Spot on great post ! 👏

We have a discipline problem under Ange, to many yellows and 4 reds already this season. All for wreckless headless shit

Great Neville starting already saying City should be looking at Ange when Pep leaves. Fuck off! Been here less than 6 months and pricks like that spouting shit that all the other lemmings in the media will start rinse and repeating

Can't stand Neville. Think I dislike him more as a pundit then a player

Completely agree, its now a common theme for the main 3 culprits of Romero, Udoggie and Bissouma to make wreckless challenges, even when we are in control of games.
The fact that they keep making the same challenges game after game shows nothing is being said to them about it, or worse they are taking no notice.
We have enough injuies without picking up suspensions every other game as well.

Listening to Ange and his perspective, reading a bit between the lines and applying some balance to it is incredibly instructive. It puts some of the OTT dramatics on here in its place.

Oh and it’s RECKLESS. We’re not hunting sunken pirate ships 🤪

Bit harsh on udogie imo, chelsea game aside can’t think of him being very rash, tonight’s yellow was a joke, shoulder to shoulder.

Neville did it with Poch too. He can be complimentary about us but he deeply believes in the footballing status quo. No team should rise above the station they were at when he was a player. He can accept City because with their money and coach there's no denying them, but the rest can stay where they are in his eyes.

Udogie's booking was preposterous

Thus will sound harsh but the three players named are just thick.

I'm not sure that is totally fair. We're going to pick up a lot of cards playing this style. When you press high, especially with the fullbacks super tucked inside, you're going to always be chasing backwards and any foul will end up with a card. We're going to pick up a lot of yellow cards in this system - we have to accept that. Ange even mentioned it in his presser. We'll pick up fewer cards once players better adapt to the system, but frankly we're probably always going to be a highly carded team. We're not going to the get the benefit of favorable refs ignoring professional fouls like Man City have for years.

Romero has a discipline problem. He is a fabulous defender, but frankly he plays dirty. The reputation he is building for himself is going to result in even more cards. He is clearly a problem.

Bissouma is just too instinctual. I don't think he is a dirty player, but when he loses the ball in that position his natural inclination is a lunge to get it back. He is so exposed in this formation that he is constantly put in positions to make bad tackles. Today's card was of his own making - poor touch and poor lunge - but the exposure doesn't help. Hopefully he can be trained out of it, but if not we clearly need another player to compete for that spot. I'd put Udogie in this category too. The system constantly leaves him in positions where he will be carded if he makes a mistake. His card today was a perfect example - super soft card that was only given because of the position on the field (he's chasing back to stop someone that has gotten in behind out line).

Sunken pirate ships would be wrecks. So technically we'd be hunting floating pirate ships.

Gillet is not PL standard, imo. Got famous from that viral video in Australia, but since he's been here. I think that in trying to match the English way of playing, he overcompensates by letting play flow too much and then hands out soft yellows in an attempt to get the game back under control.
