Was just saying the same to my cousin.

It started in the Chelsea game. I was at that and saw it live.

Was also at the West Ham game, again happened here with little or no protection from the ref.

And obviously last night, difference being we won ...but you could see Agne releasing frustration at the end.

You can imagine the oppositions preparation is all about being overly physical to disrupt our play and target our hot headed types
I wonder should Ange start crying about over physicality against us. Crying seems to off worked brilliant for Lego man and Klopp this season.

I wonder if the salary they are offering exceeded or was less than his Spurs salary ?
at the end of the day everyone has a price, rebuffing this so publicly could also be seen as pay me more and i'll jump over. At the end of the day, Swansea is a pretty decent spot to get a good run it at and really shouldn't be scoffed at. all of the backroom staff probably dream of managing and he will at some point give it a proper go (if he hasn't already pre this)

It's abundantly clear that teams have been going out with tactics to kick us off the field. For reasons beyond comprehension refs are letting this happen every game now.

Forest was fucking diabolical. Somehow they ended up with 2 yellows v our 4 + 1 red despite committing five more fouls, 16 v 11.

This is also resulting in injuries, eg Maddison.

The 'somehow' was a Ref who was being swayed by the home crowd. He booked Udogie for a minor shove but ignored Yates rugby tackling Son in the area and also brandishing imaginary cards amongst other things. Weak performance from him.

Feels like there’s some off the field stuff Ange needs to sort to help us out here, because otherwise he’s doing amazingly.

1) needs to get a grip of the carding/disciplinary situation - cut out the suspensions and reds

2) needs a tactical word with the ref ahead of each game - ‘we keep getting targeted, do me a favour and watch out for it’

Easier said than done on both, but would make a big difference.

Losing players to injuries and suspensions could genuinely cost us big this year, and having our play disrupted by thugs is hurting too

The system puts players under a lot of pressure when we lose the ball. Bissouma's getting pelters at the moment, some even farcically suggesting he should be moved on, but without VdVs pace behind him we can get badly caught if he loses the ball. He's now being targeted by the opposition and he's lost a bit of confidence as a result. The Ref v Forest was a joke really, giving them everything including cards when their players 'asked' for them. Very, very weak performance from him. As you say, Ange needs to have a word. We've all seen the decisions Liverpool have been getting since Klopp threw his tantrum and how Arteta is up and down the touchline like an extra winger with no consequence because he's a mouthy fucker in front of the cameras.

Maybe read it as big opportunity, rather than big club.
It was a big opportunity for the bloke, whichever way you want to paint it.
The problem with Swansea is they have some serious financial problems. The parachute payments from the Premier League have stopped and they are not generated enough income to make a sustained investment back into the first team in order to make a promotion push. Furthermore, half the first team are loanees so that means come the end of the season you have 4 or 5 players that you lose. They just sold £17m worth of players and had to bring in loans to replace them and they still made a loss of approx £15m.

Swansea is a big opportunity but the timing would be all wrong for Davies. They need investing and someone to steady the finances before being able to go there and attempting to push back into the premier league.

Besides, I think Davies is probably reacting the rewards of working with Ange.

Murillo got away with a second booking also imo.

Just taking our reds and yellows in isolation is not helpful, so many unpunished fouls against us, not just against Forest, but seemingly every week, especially so since Liverpool.

How Yates didn't get booked once, even winning a free kick for probably the most reckless tackle of the night when he should have been booked etc.

Bissouma's red was just a late tackle. It wasn't dangerous, just late. Romero on Wilson, was just late, not malicious.
I dunno about Bissoumas tackle not being dangerous. It was so over the ball his studs were on his knee. I kinda know you mean, I don’t think it was a stonewall red necessarily but if that happened to a spurs player I’d probably be asking for a red card. It was just a stupid thing to do, should’ve listened to Davies who told him to pass it backwards but he ignored him, then had the touch of a trampoline and then tried to hard to make up for his error by going in like he did. Can’t have any complaints there really to be honest.

Oh yeah, I agree with you. I get why it's a red, and I can understand it being given. I guess the point I've been trying to make is that, it wasn't a malicious, ill-disciplined tackle, it was late and looked bad.

The inconsistency in refereeing is a massive problem. Murrilo should have seen red, Forest don't get the cards they should have earlier in the game.

Watching the West Ham game now, no idea how Coufal didn't get a red, etc.

I was playing Trivial pursuit with my precocious 11 year old boy. One of the questions was name the top 6000 football clubs in the FIFA remit.

Swansea wasn’t one of them.

It actually started in the game before that against Palace. They kicked lumps out of us and got away with it time and time again. Andersen should have had a red too.

It all kicked off after the Liverpool match….
Yep. The 2 games after Liverpool, Fulham at home, 14 fouls by them, no cards. Then palace away 19 fouls by them, 2 yellows both in injury time. I think I read the 2 games after Liverpool there were 31 fouls on us without a card being shown!

Now - I think Bissouma's red was legit (just based on the current slo-mo VAR) - but if Spurs were smart, they should appeal it. There really is no downside - even if they tacked on another game, he is still going to be at AFCON.

But, I would show up with video of all the questionable tackles made against Spurs this year - and point out, if none of them were worthy of a RC, then surely there is nothing in the Bissouma card - and certainly not as reckless or dangerous as the many times Spurs players have been kicked.

Its time for someone - Ange, or someone with Spurs - to start pointing out the discrepancies.

Are you sure you didn't miss them due to impaired vision caused by the tears rolling down your cheeks?
