Totally agree, once in a lifetime opportunity for their club, be even better if they can have a couple of supporters there as well.

The FA has ruled out any club being allowed to swap venues with its opponents for the FA Cup. We have been allowed to play in front of 400 fans this season (until the recent lockdown) and I think that, unless Sefton Council say otherwise, this would be the minimum that would be allowed for the game with Spurs. I think that the max. allowed for our match with you might be around 700. This is because we have already put in place various measures required by the council for this capacity.
As you can imagine, everyone at Marine is looking forward to the match. I still think I’m dreaming to be honest. Money wise, the cup run has meant we survive for another season. We are not amateurs and the £110,000 won so far will just about cover the players’ wages. The hotel bills for Colchester and Havant (our team stayed in a top hotel in the city the night before the Havant game) will be taken out of the winnings so far. The club is run in a very professional way.
Apart from the tv money, I doubt we’ll make a huge amount from this next round. The FA has greatly reduced its prize money and is yet to announce if any money will be given to the losing club.
We have a very good team for tier 8 where we have only been for a season. Four of our team have played in the Europa Cup or Champions League for TNS, Bala and Connah Quay, our right back has caps for St. Lucia, our centre back played a handful of games for Liverpool and 163 for Inverness, our striker, Mo Touray, scored against Moldova two weeks ago for Wales under 21.
It pays for players who have jobs to go part time and earn a bit playing football, even at our level.
I think Mourinho will enjoy the Marine experience. It’s a compact ground but the facilities are excellent. We have for example, a 180 seater concert room and an 80 seater lounge. The floodlights are up to National League standards, the changing rooms are spacious (by Non league standards!) and comfortable. We have to compete with Liverpool and Everton so it’s not easy. The match with the mighty Spurs has put us on the map. We hope, obviously, that Jose puts out a strong team but as long as we play well the result is, let’s face it, a forgone conclusion.

There are loads of grounds near Marine that are definitely covid safe if Marine can’t jump over all the hurdles. Goodison and Anfield spring to mind both of which probably mean a lot more to most Marine players than WHL

Everton have also been drawn at home in the 3rd Rd so think Goodison is a no-go, but Anfield or Prenton Park would probably be options.

If there's only a handful of fans allowed in playing at somewhere the size of Goodison would probably see them losing money.
