Would love this to happen but I'll keep my feet on the ground and assume it's unlikely. Would be interesting to see how we fit dembele, alli, lamela, eriksen and gotze in a team

Who would he replace in our first team and what position?

Even if this were to happen, not sure I'd want him over Alli or Eriksen.

Id rather buy some pace, i think we lack that at times. We do need someone who can perhaps unlock defences eg west brom but cant we get someone with skill and pace.

I want the croatian dude pjaca

Kind of a joke. Hugo though from all accounts had (before the RM link) agreed to stay because of the quality of the players that DL had promised to bring in. Just hoping this is the standard.

WTF? Strange kind of rating TBH! :p

Edit - I meant it to say so happy to stay though! Probably misunderstood the sentiment. Oh well who cares! :p

How many times do these stories pop up and people get sucked in every single time. Once in a blue moon these sort of deals do happen but Christ they are few and far between.

TBH if it was between Gotze or Bolasie I'd take Bolasie.

Still hungry on the way up compared to a world cup winner on the way down from Bayern.
This is ban-worthy.

A World Cup final goalscorer with 105 goals/ assists in 210 games in the Bundesliga for the top two teams and Germany or Bolasie who has 89 PL games with 22 goals/ assists, barely even 1 in 4

And getting onto the most bizarre part of this post - Gotze on his way down, Bolasie is 27 and Gotze has just turned 24

We'd start doing that Arsenal thing where we wrote "Göal", Spürs and so forth? Wouldn't we?

Like the ****s we are.

I don't think the deal itself is a "Bank Breaker" he only has 12 months left on his deal...

Everyone thought Wanyama would cost close to £25m last year, and with 12 months left, we got him for £12m
This is why I think there might be something in it, young player who has tonnes of experience and knows the pressing system well and who is in last year of contact, so won't cost a fortune.

This is one of the worst posts I've ever read In the transfer section on SC. I'm assuming you're on the wind up?

I was mentioning the need for a lock picker to a mate just this morning and we where talking Ross Barclay or breaking the back for Marez.

But gotze would be ideal for £20m - but I would suggest this is a tactic to get bigger European clubs interested.

Under poch he could unlock his undoubted talent. So I'm praying his is true!

I was thinking it was just his agent trying to get him a move to England. Try and get on board the new influx of tv money and higher wages than he might get in Germany.

If he comes to England I reckon there's more chance he'd end up somewhere like Chelsea. Not that I don't think we wouldn't want him.

If enough clubs go after a player he will be expensive regardless of how long he has left on his contract. Plenty of clubs would be in for Gotze so he'd still cost a lot and he could shop around for mega wages too IMO.
