Knowing there have been 2 meetings means there is something in this.
Thanks for confirming this for us. You really do seem to have your finger on the pulse of Poch's project. Please continue to regale us with your insight.

If people need YouTube videos to see how good Gotze is, it truly shows no one has a Clue about players in other leagues

I genuinely know nothing about him, other than he scored as a sub in the World Cup final.

I don't watch the Bundesliga so have basically only watched him once or twice.

What an utterly ridiculous comment.

A lot of people, myself included, don't have the time to watch all the European leagues. As it happens, I have seen a lot of Bayern in the CL so I know a bit about him, but I can fully understand why others wouldn't. No need to hold it against them!

I cant get over the amount of people who want him simply because of his name. This guys attitude stinks so he is the last player we want right now. Please Poch see sense

If there's one manager who won't be takin Gotze simply on past performance and without being absolutely certain of his attitude it would be Poch wouldn't it?

Apart from the Osvaldo call at Saints, Poch hasn't got brought in a player with a shit attitude to his clubs but has certainly got rid of a few.

Jesus. Think about it. Its not against the peiple who haven't watched Gotze, it's the people that give a full report on these players
In France Hollands and Germany, whilst just seeing a YouTube video
Of them

I would say this would have been more likely had it been the middle/late August when sides are being finalised and time is running out for surplus players.

This stinks of a deadline day swoop when bayern and Gotze have few options just like VDV. Although in fairness this does sound slightly different as it seems he's burnt his bridges at Bayern.

Or based on their stats on a computer game. I agree, pretending to know a player when you've barely watched them is just a bit pointless.

Basically, if Poch thinks this guy is worth it then he deserves our backing. He's transformed our club so quickly.

I'm still fairly dubious that there is any serious interest in Gotze, but we have.........

A very young and talented team, who play exciting winning football.
A young manager who is getting rave reviews, and mass player praise(from those who have played for him)
The new stadium
The Training ground
London
CL football

Many people saying players like Gotze are out of our league, but any ambitious player who isn't only interested in £££ would have to think more than twice about turning us down imo.

He wore a t-shirt with a massive Nike logo to his Bayern unveiling that was "presented by Adidas".

Totally agree we have had our best ever season in the premier league half the outfield team for England were spurs players. We have a manager that knows what he wants and a new stadium to look forward too. Why shouldn't we attract players like this.

2-3 signings of this ilk are exactly what we need for the champions league and staying in the top 4 next season which will be so much harder with city Man U and Chelsea likely to be much stronger

The Bild does seeem quite on point when it comes to Bayern though..

This is a key point, journalists are only as good as their sources when it comes to transfers. See Jason Burt when AVB was around and Di Marzio when Baldini was DOF. BBC/Sky very clued up on Utd. If Bild is seen as strong on Bayern info from their fans, it is very promising.

Furiously masturbating in his basement over a shrine to Mario Gotze?

Incidentally, all the pictures are of Lewis Holtby, but with Gotze's head plastered over the top.

Love you really, you big German sausage.

You know I'd never defile those!

PSG- Probably the most likely out of the clubs you have listed- but they just signed Ben Arfa and need to focus on signing another striker (e.g. Lacazette)

City- Don't think Gotze will want to go near Pep

United- Signed Mkhitaryan and Rooney will probably play at no.10- seems they only now want
Pogba to complete their 4 key signings (although I'll always remember when Mourinho signed Willian out of nowhere and just said he was an 'extra target')

Barcelona- Would be another bench player.

I wouldn't be surprised if it really is just us and Dortmund who are very interested in him.

For the record, I know it has been said that Liverpool are not interested now they have Mane, but it still wouldn't surprise me at all if they were still interested and could afford this deal, especially if the offload Benteke for 30m and/or Ibe and maybe A N Other.

In Klopp's first 12-24 months at Dortmund I think there were a lot of in's and outs.

Not much love for him there, also some worrying tidbits politically,

I wouldn't read too much into that, those are all international fans. He seems popular enough in Germany, after all he did score the World Cup winning goal..
