As unlikely / unbelievable as this link is, I can't help but wonder if Atletico (Simeone) may be interested in Soldado? There were widespread reports about them being interested last summer, so perhaps that interest hasn't totally disappeared, and a player / cash exchange could be considered?

Hey guys, sorry for a little off topic, not sure where to put this. I just starter twitter and will post some things there (if anyone is interested). Is there a place on here to introduce my twitter? Am I allowed to just post it in here?

In regards to Mandzukic, it's almost an automatic link. Croatian player on the market, link him with Spurs. As far as I know there was genuine interest before (even while he was with Dinamo Zagreb), but not sure about now. Di Marzio said yesterday that both Wolfsburg (his former club) and Borussia Dortmund already submitted offers for him. And the Milan interest was even acknowledged by Galliani. Monaco is there as well. I think he would do very well in England (loved by home supporters, hated by opposition), just not sure how realistic the link would be.

I'd love to go 442 with Mandzukic and Kane upfront - we'd score absolute shedloads. Not. Going. To. Happen.

And just posted Di Marzio's latest update there. Galliani finished lunch with the Atletico directors. The interest in concrete and there will be further negotiations. He is their main striking target, regardless of who their next manager will be.

Not gona happen as he would wouldn't come to be an understudy to Kane.

Not that I believe there is anything in this(I don't), but no striker should be coming here to be an understudy to Kane, and we shouldn't be looking for one that is happy to be. Kane has just had a great season and has the world at his feet, but he will only push on if he has competition for his place. Top sides have rotation options(to give players required rest periods) and competition for a starting berth, not a great starting XI and a team full of understudies.

Mainly Croatian football news (transfers, youth football, with some stupid pictures, poor attempts at humour, etc.). Just started last week.

Two things:

1. Firstly, I think you put too much faith in Di Marzio. He really isn't that great anymore from what I've seen.

2. How is Ante Rebic doing? @Bus-Conductor really wants to know. It seems like he couldn't get many games for a second division German side.

I don't believe everything Di Marzio writes, but I do find him very credible. He has proved that time and time again. Too many examples. Things can change during negotiations, but he's proven to get some very good info (well ahead of others).

Rebic just finished a disastrous loan with Leipzig, filled with injury, the bench and discipline problems (nothing major, but he was spoken to about attitude). He is still owned by Fiorentina, but most likely will go out another loan. Rumoured with both Dinamo Zagreb and Rijeka (in Croatia). I still have a lot of faith in his abilities. And so too does Niko Kovac who is Croatia's NT manager and previous U21 manager. Despite his lack of playing time and problems, he still included him in the squad for the Gibraltar friendly/Italy qualifier (the squad will still be trimmed some, but still). He possesses that unique skill-set of power, pace and skill. I'd still be on him "coming good." Just needs to grow up a little and getting into the right environment would help. The talent is there and I don't think he's far away. Just needs a run of games and he'll show how dangerous he can be. But you cannot completely dismiss the attitude issues. That needs to be sorted. I just don't think it's enough to give up on him. For me, he's still worth "the risk."

I actually don't follow anyone yet. On the advice of others I started the page and got some followers. But I have been told that it is good to follow regardless. So I will start adding soon and you'll be on there. Still very new to the "game."
