Seemed like his ankle. Him and the defender were racing for the ball and Mason tried to shoot as the defender tackled. He had to be helped off by the physio and a steward I believe. Probably out for a few weeks.

Down the other end from me but went down after attempting a shot under a challenge. Didn't look great and seemed to be in a lot of pain. Refused the stretcher and was helped off by 2 of the medical team as he hobbled around the pitch

Fingers crossed it's not too bad as he was playing well today. Also we lose Bentelab to African Cup soon. Will be a blow to lose both of our current midfield

Hopefully just a precaution. When you've had as many injuries as him, probably best to take him off if even a tiny risk of making it worse. Will probably miss the Xmas period but remember when Bale looked like he'd broken his ankle and he was the next game.

We missed him when he went off, his passing is incredible and there was one point where Poch screamed at him, as he played the ball back to where is came, to spread it wide. Next time he spread it first time out to the wing and set up an attack. Also, he makes such intelligent runs into the box.

We have to be patient as he is still I. His first season of prem football and hasn't had an extended period of games due to injuries but he could become something very special.

*HYPE KLAXON* - he reminds me of Gerrard, sprays the ball quickly and effectively and knows when and where to break into the box. Can dribble past players and has a great long shot. Will he ever be even half as good as Gerrard at his peak, possibly not but, with luck and good coaching, could become a really top CM.

We did miss him when he went off. Hope he's not out for long. I thought the tackle was late. Anywhere else on the pitch it would have been a free kick.

Agree, and a chance for someone else to make a claim for a starting spot.

Think the Xmas period might be good for us and where we'll benefit over others due to the squad size.

Hope Mason is back soon, but then an enforced week or two out might do him good. Poch needs to use Kane and Eriksen carefully too, do y want any of them two to suffer burn out.

Its down to Paulinho or Dembele to step up and make the link between the back four/midfield and front four

I wont hold my breathe

Capoue would be my choice to play the Bentaleb role and Paulinho/Dembele for the Mason role.

We don't have a replacement for Mason. Maybe give Winks a chance or possibly try Chiriches in midfield. The main thing we will miss is his ability to pass quickly, something Dembele, Capoue and Paulinho don't do.

Think Vlad would be alright in midfield, but then we've got about 20 of them sitting around twiddling their thumbs.
