Dixon's fine. he said both Defoe and keane might have had a hatful, and was quite clear we were the better team. So he's got reservations about our defence when it comes to playing the really top teams. Fair comment. Certainly not a bitter gunner in any respect.

Even Keown's not too bad. Sopmetimes when I hear him on the radio I think "that's Keown", but have to do a double-take because his comments are reasonable and measured.

There's a lot of criticism of MoTD but I find it fine. It's a highlights programme playing to a mass audience. I enjoy itr. Actually, the criticism it receives, for the most part I find unreasonable.

I'm sure Harry is on to it but our defenders could do with paying attention to the MOTD analysis.

Well said, I think some posters on here are a little sensitive to criticism of our beloved Spurs. Dixon and Keown are two of the best pundits on TV.

Thought the analysis was fair and it did highlight a few flaws which we need to work on. Without Ledley King at the back we do get sloppy, sad thing to say but its been proven, time and time again. Yes against really good opp we'll be exposed....Gomes is also a miss.

I have a grudging respect for Dixon after Gazza's appearance on MOTD. He allowed Paul to say his bit, but when it became clear that he was losing the thread and repeating himself he gently stepped in and expanded on what Gazza was saying. He was keen to help him maintain a bit of dignity and acted like a decent man should.

And to be honest we are very sloppy at times at the back, we have given teams to many good goal scoring opportunities in the four games so far. Certainly the top four teams don't give that much away and if we are aiming to get in there, then it needs to be improved upon. I wouldn't call that negative but just being honest and giving an opinion.

The commentators I was listening to kept banging on about Palacios clipping McFadden's heel. Even though the replays showed that Palacios withdrew from the challenge and then McFadden clipped his own heel. Pathetic.

That's interesting to hear...I've not been able to find much reason for antipathy towards Dixon. And with this new information - maybe he's an allright person ? Eek:liar::hand::shhh:
