It`s funny reading comments from all you loosers. Everytime we loose the whole team is shit and when we win we are the best team in the world. We can all write our opinions in here, but some of you should really start getting realistic. At the moment we are on our way up, because of a great manager, but we can`t think we should beat Chelsea away missing so many players. The Reading and Arsenal game is much more important and hopefully we can take something out of those games. AND...start supporting whoever plays in our team. We have allready ruined too many players with booing and negative comments.

I think Chelsea made it really hard for us today, they were definitely fitter, stronger and quicker than us and anytime one of our players had the ball they were closed down immediately by at least 2 players.
We really needed all our best players out there today but unfortunately through injury and suspension they were not available.
Both teams created very little and the defences played well, they scored twice from shots outside the box and the game was lost!
Special mention for Malbranque,Lennon and King who played well and KPB who was awful and looked totally out of his depth.Ramos will need to be a miracle worker to turn KPB into a Premiership squad player. He reminds me so much of another midfield star on his way to Derby,Hossam Ghaly, only he was bought for £2m and Boateng was bought for almost £5.5m!

The sooner Juande gets in the new midfield the better!!!
We just could not compete against their mid men. That is why Berbs and Keano were stranded.

forgive me if im wrong, but didnt we have two kids playing central midfield today... up against seasoned old pros... what exactly were you expecting? given the fact that our two first choice midfielders are probably Jenas and Zokora, neither of whom was playing or on the bench it's a bit much to start demanding a new midfield

you really need to watch the knee of yours.. too many more days like today and you'll put it right out of joint

O`Hara isn`t good enough and will not be.

and you can tell this from the 5 or so appearances he's made can you?...please try and get a tiny bit of perspective.. look at who he was up against and make a couple of allowances for fucks sake

Only IMO Cherny is seriously to blame for the 1st goal. It was a 35 m. shot in his near corner, he should have saved it...

No, he isn't. It was a perfect shot and I reckon he didn't see the ball when Belletti shot it. It was very bad defending in the midfield. We gave Belletti about 10 m free way from the middle. One of our midfielders (I have a crap TV so not 100 % sure who) should have taken the space, but didn't. After this Belletti had another 10 meters to go and again another midfielder didn't close him down. Finally the LAST man from our defence came to it, but it was too late...

With long balls you won't go any near to top 4 even with RVN, Eto'o or whoever upfront.

Berbatov hates long balls and always asks his teammates to serve to his foot, but they just can't do it.

Probably the least informed post ive ever read on here. Ye, Chelsea seemed to struggle with Lampard feeding off of Drogba didnt they? As do Liverpool with Crouch and Arsenal were atrocious against us this year with Adebayor up top weren't they?

Did you get to watch Barca play tonight? If you did, you will have seen Marquez and even Silvinho using Henry as an outlet for the long ball as he had his man for pace every time.

Moreover, Berbatov only calls for the short ball from midfield but from defence and the keeper he is always looking to play off the full back and bring down a high ball.

Lampard usually plays within 15-20 m. from Drogba, what long balls you dream of?

Long balls to Adebayor in Arsenal? You mean Almunia does it Robinson way???

Ah yes, for Liverpool you are right. The other bunch of losers that got the 2nd largest spending in Premiership for last 5 year and only 4th places...

:rofl::rofl:

Spurs fans like you fully deserve the crap team you've got.

I can't do ratings as I only saw the game on football first. We lost to a well drilled machine. But based on performances away at Arsenal, ManU, Liverpool and chelsea I'd say we are definately showing improvement as a team. WE are showing less and less fear. We are taking bigger chunks of possession and controlling larger proportions of games against these sides. We lack a creative spark to break these top drawer defences at times (which is why I would have loved a Modriv or even a Petrov) but we are definately showing improvement in our general attitude and aptitude. If we could only cut out schoolboy defending at times and add a leader and a creative spark we'd be competing at the top table.

You really should have turned off your computer quite a while ago mate.

1) The reason that Lampard is 15-20m from Drogba is because he is FEEDING OFF OF HIM-drogba knocks down the long ball TO LAMPARD-hope thats cleared up.

2) Very often you'll see the Arsenal full backs knocking a 40-50 yard ball into Adebayor's chest with runners from deep there to pick it up off him.

3) You said it wont get you anywhere near fourth. Obviously wrong again then....

Anyone else notice O'Hara getting dispossessed a hell of a lot in the last few games? I like the way he shows for the ball more than anyone, but he seriously needs to release the ball sooner or something.

And Taarabt wasn't that bad. He ran into trouble a lot, but we needed to try something different because passing through their defence was never going to happen.

O'Hara was caught in posession because

(a) He had no options when looking to move ball on
(b) He always had the ball while stationary and could not make the required space to avoid being depossessed
(c) He is very left footed and not particulary quick, which makes him struggle to out manouver opponents.
(d) Chelsea played a pressing game, which restricted his space and time.

I hope this is an attempt an irony, but have a horrible feeling that it isn't.

When he has to, as against Everton the other week, when the Arse were reduced to going Route One full-time. And indeed when he doesn't, as against Barca in the CL final.

I'll throw in mine:

+

King, Dawson and Lennon.
Looked pretty solid at the back, while Lennon created a lot of danger.

-

O'Hara and Boateng.
Of the two, O'Hara was slightly better. However, I do not see him as a long term Spurs player. He is simply not good enough, and lost the ball too much as well today - which supposedly is his strongest side. KPB didnt have a great match, but I see much more potential in him than in O'Hara.

The rest of the team was pretty anynomous. Berba didnt get much to work with, and got frustrated. Cerny did ok in goal.

On the first goal: Dont think Cerny was to blame. It was horrible by the defence to give him so much space. However, how often do you see a top notch keeper let in a goal like that. Cech would have had it, I reckon.
