I don’t see it happening and he’d need to improve a fair bit under Poch to be a difference maker for us. At the moment he isn’t as good as Dembele at the things Dembele does. He likes to get the ball and run through the middle, but he loses his way quite often and makes too many wrong decisions. It could just be a kid trying too hard to make an impression and maybe he needs a new home for his undoubted talent.

Who's Slaven? This guy is exactly what we should be looking for. Him and Eriksen linking up and feeding the forwards would be so much fun to watch.

He only got 10 starts in the league last year, could definitely see him wanting to move finally.

Bilic? Former croatian international and currently unemployed manager but previously managed the national team. He probably knows as much about Croatian football and Croatian players as anybody alive at the moment.

Yup agree. Thought I saw it quoted somewhere and was shocked tbh, assuming it’s not complete bs. He’s been top of my list for so long now but never thought we’d ever be in a position to get him

I think I saw somewhere that a lot of current release clauses are set at previously-thought-silly figures... until Neymar/PSG. If that's Kovacic's first contract since joining Madrid, when I imagine he was signed as a prospect, 50 million may be about right as I think he signed 2 years ago? A potential substantial profit on the purchase deal, but not so high that the player would ask for a lot of money to offset no club being likely to trigger it.

Could be right, I really have no idea. This was his third year on the team, least amount of appearances in the league but most games overall as he played in all the cup games.
