Ambitious club Forest. McClaren's got a lot to prove and a lot to do, although there's a good squad there. Hope they go up next season as they've got terrific fans and are a big club in a good football city.

Would be a good place to loan a couple of the youngsters, you'd think.

Livid? Why? McLaren is a very good manager and Forest will be coming up next season - or going very close.

I was surprised by the decision to sack Davies. But I think McLaren will get them promoted next season.

It's been confirmed. My mates a forest fan and he's livid
Don't see why he would be, he was very successful as both Middlesbrough and Twente. Just because he failed at Wolfsburg and was a wally for England doesn't mean he isn't a good club manager. Forest will definitely be in the hunt next season.

Why do people dislike Mclaren so much? Ok he failed with England but what coach hasn't? He got Boro to a uefa cup final, and has won a league title in holland. Ok he comes across a little arrogant at times but I think he's a very good coach and will have learned a lot from his successes and failures in Holland and Germany.

Great appointment for Forrest. He's a very good manager and will put NF firmly in the title chase next season.

Very naive decision from Lerner to turn his nose up at McClaren; especially when you couple the financial restraints that Villa find themselves in and the way in which McClaren nurtured and assimilated a host of academy players into the 'Boro side.

I think Forest have pulled off a very good move here. Regardless of what people say McClaren did a good job at 'Boro and Twente and while he may have failed at Wolfsburg & with the England job I'm sure he has gained plenty of experience from it.

Also, I have to respect the guy for going overseas to rebuild his reputation. One of English footballs problems is not enough players and managers are going overseas to develop.
