Tottenham have set their sights on a deal for Nottingham Forest playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White. It is believed that Spurs have been watching the 23-year-old all season, and their interest is growing as the summer transfer window approaches.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Tottenham scouts believe Gibbs-White has “hugely improved” and “gone to the next level” since joining Nottingham Forest last summer (2022).

Great news, with him Maddison, Lo Celso and N’Dombele at our disposal our creativity will increase greatly.

Now all we need is a Manager and a director of football.

Doubt it. Probably just his agent trying to get him out of forest in the event of them going down.

Picking over the bones of relegation clubs. Levy thrives on these deal. Maddison of Leicester, Ward Prowse & Bella-Kotchap of Southampton and Jack Harrison of Leeds.

Nothing wrong with picking bones of relegated teams if you get good deals.

Look at Liverpool taking Robertson for example.

Maddison and Harrison could be good signings, Ward-Prowse doesn’t seem well rounded enough for me though tbh - great set piece player, one of the best in league, but not sure about in open play so much.

Agreed. I didn't mean to imply we shouldn't go after certain players from struggling clubs. Merely these are deals right up Levy's street. Pickford can be added to my list above too.

While I primarily am looking forward to Leicester getting relegated because I like to see their fans cry, if it means we get Maddison for a few quid less then that's an added bonus. I don't often speculate on how a new signing will do, I'm your every-day fence sitter, but he's got experience and he could be a really solid addition to our squad. Would not be upset if he came along, at all and Skipp could learn a lot from him.

It's also refreshing to hear the phrase "the Tottenham way" used in a positive way again and it not be followed by, "y'know... Spursy". I like Gibbs-White, he seems like an entertaining player but we've signed a few young, potentially entertaining players recently and they've barely gotten a game. If I was him then I'd need convincing that we'd play in a way he could contribute and would get games.

We need to get a manager. Then buy players the manager wants. Our squad is so disjointed because we have a buying mentality of a kid in a toy shop with a parent who has promised a £10 budget. Lots of fawning over the big toys, then lowering expectations. Eventually buying something in the bargin bucket while we’re dragged out of the store in tears.

Happy Saturday everyone. I’m off shopping…

What's the Spurs way? Do we know anymore?
Does the hierarchy know or care anymore?
How can we recruiting players without a proper recruitment team and manager in place?

Spurs Way has become repurposed. It's a one way cul de sac.

I was a guest at Brentford today, I saw nothing special to justify the £42m Forest paid for him. Maddison is way better imo.
5 years ago he was being tipped for the very top and it feels to me that he has plateaued ?

We haven't done too badly with some of our past deals from relegated clubs.
Didn't we sign Keane, Robertson & Lennon from Leeds for circa £10m combined? 😅

The 'CLUB' shouldnt be signing anybody at present.
We've no DoF, no coach and no direction.
Stop making the same mistakes over and over and over again ffs.
