Just got mine. Me, the missus and eldest lad are all adult Bronze. Youngest lad is classed as "young adult".
Total renewal of £163, but go to limited number of games currently due work commitments.

Now, reading the statement on the renewal process, and application for home games, we have next to no chance of getting to a Cat A game next season, as our loyalty point count is way down.

But more worrying is the process for Cat B and C games. Now, because of the aforementioned work commitments, I have to really think ahead to which games I/we can actually get to. And it's not helped by Sky/BT changing match days at the drop of a hat (I missed at least 2 games after dates were changed the season just gone).

As I read it, all Bronze/Lilywhite members can apply for Cat B/C games, but then go into a random ballot for tickets. So, having to really think about which games I can try for, there is no longer any guarantee of getting to it, even if I am on the big doughnut of death at the required time when the on-sale date starts.

Is this somewhat harsh? Or am I being over-sensitive?

I get the reduced capacity problem, but I'm not sure this is quite fair. We can't all go to every game, and if you are limited, like me, my chances are even further reduced now.

OK, I know some of you will say those with higher loyalty points deserve more. I don't want to go down the old storyline of "I've been going to WHL since 1966 and have had seasons of going every game etc"........................ok, I just did, but you get my point.

Thoughts?

I had the same thought, but I've thought Lilywhite and Bronze were overpriced for years. You can tell they've tried to add value with the voucher and other freebies, but it's still pricey.

Also, I'm still not clear on the lottery. I put my name in the lottery for a chance at a seat in an "area," but what if I'm picky about seats? I may want South East Lower, but I'd like to choose where in the SE lower that is. Not to mention I'm totally out for A matches because I didn't the LP to really compete with a lot of supporters. But especially in the South end, I don't think high LP always equals a better atmosphere.

If you have low LP and only go to a select number of fixtures a year, they basically made the membership pretty worthless except for staying on the season ticket list.

This is a total, fucking joke. I am beyond furious. Here's what they're saying: I've been going to near enough every match for the last decade, and my Dad has been doing so since we were in the second division, but we couldn't afford season tickets a couple of years back and had to drop into membership. So now if we're in with a chance of winning the title, playing at home to category B/C sides again in the second hal of next season, we may well lose out on tickets in a random ballot to some damned iPhone-wielding tourist who's just bought a membership. AND they pin it on the Supporter's Trust, who only ever promoted the much more sensible idea of loyalty points for Cat A's. What a absolute pisstake.

So here's what to do. Join a few family members to bronze membership at £47 a go. Ballot every membership for every game and if you end up with too many tickets chuck them on stub hub. I know it's capped at £150 but get a few of those over the season and the memberships are covered.

If you were clever you would have purchased the cheap Europa tickets for the last few years. Go to the game or not you get 5 points and the ticket is cheap so you now benefit from standing a chance of not only getting an away ticket but now you can get the cat a games as well.

At the end of the day no one suffers well apart from real fans that is.

See people join the bronze membership to go on the waiting list as opposed to the cheaper membership but now they have even less chance of seeing a game let alone getting a season ticket, why would anyone give up a season ticket when they can just profit from stub hub and a new lottery for members which makes getting tickets even harder.

I'm really not sure who's idea this was but what a joke.

Just seen the "Supporter's" Trust are backing this too. Interesting that they didn't bother asking any actualy supporters! The online system wasn't unfair. The vast majority of people were able to get tickets to any game they wanted if they put in the time messing around online. Mr. Johnny Come Lately glory-hunter, I want tickets because we is going to play the Champion Cup from Hong Kong, didn't. Perfect! I can think of a thousand better solutions than this.

in my view every member(but not those who join this year) should have a chance to go to one game in the last season at WHL with those with the most loyalty points getting first dibs and then it feeding down .There are 19 home games with approx 5000 tickets available to members thats 95000 tickets so each member would probably have a shot at 2 games.

So what happens if I apply for 3 tickets with my 3 memberships but the only one to get drawn is my 6 year old. I think I'll give my membership a miss the next few years.

Think you can do group applications- so I assume it would be everyone or no one...?

I have pretty much been able to get tickets for myself and my mates with memberships for any home game we have wanted. It took organising and ensuring I was logged into the doughnut of death early enough, remain patient and voila I get to chose where I sit.

This new system is a joke. Firstly, no guarantee that I will get selected in the ballot and secondly I cannot chose where to sit.

Why not just leave the old system in place for cat B and C and use the loyalty point system for Cat A games?

Absolutely appalled.
Absolutely f***ing appalled.
So me and my two sons enter as a group and it counts as one attempt in the Spurs willywonker lottery......
And to cap it all I've just recently joined THST and they supported this clusterfuck.
So me and my two sons rejoin membership at huge cost and get sweet fa for our trouble.
Really appalled

You are fucking kidding me!!!
Must admit I am too much of a lazy arse to read the email properly, saw that they were taking the money out and thought oh well.........
Just seen this and I am livid. I book for 5 others, and yes its a pain in the arse and the doughnut of death is annoying, but you put the effort in and you usually get the result. We always like to stand in the same area as we know some season ticket holders there and 9 times out of 10 we get within a few rows of where we want to be.
We knew next season was going to be tricky, and I must admit I was not really looking forward to nabbing the right tickets in the right place, but a lottery!!! Cant even choose where we want to sit, fucking joke.

Looks like Champions League will be our best bet next year.

Also think this is dreadful.

None of it is good. It's only in the last year that I've been able to go a bit more regularly again, so have very few loyalty points, so no Cat A games, and not sure how a ballot for B and C games is going to be better than what was currently going on. We'll have a larger capacity for CL games, but are they going to be Cat A games too? Or a ballot? How much chance will I realistically have of getting to any games.

I'd much rather the club clamped down on the sharing of season tickets and memberships etc.

Recieved mine, although I can't renew for the next few seasons, as I won't be able to get to any games.

Shame, but as my son now has a contract at Reading Academy, that needs to be the focus.

On the Spurs website I swear it says you can request to sit in a specific area.

Yes, but I think it is going to be based more on price and area, so you could probably specify up to say £45 per ticket in the South Stand, but you could end up in the upper rather than the lower for example. I would also imagine the more specific you are the less likely you are to get tickets.

Like others have said, it will spread everyone about and kill the already "fickle" atmosphere

I think it's a bit of a myth that season ticket holders are able to make shitloads of cash off Stub Hub... the only people making a profit on Stub Hub are the people that run Stub Hub. I'm yet to find a season ticket holder that has even got close to getting face value for their ticket on there.

I haven't had a membership for donkeys years, but was considering signing up this time around, mainly because GS last sale was almost impossible to get anything. Took me until WBA game to get a ticket via General Sale.
There's no way on earth I'm paying £40 for a year's membership which may well get me the grand total of sod all when I want to buy a ticket.
The only thing that is making me still consider is that the CL games should be a little bit simpler.
However, I really want to take my 10 yr old to one of those games and I'm guessing that, even as a member, I'm going to need him to have a membership in order to be able to book the pair of us a ticket?
There's no way on earth tickets for CL will go on General Sale...

Still at least we all get a "free" scarf now as part of our membership. I will be able to wear it to all the home games I go to.......................oh wait, I see there could be a problem.....:(
