You're expecting him to do what though? On Saturday I saw him get the ball and look to produce. Problem was the movement into space off the ball was not there and west ham were defending deep.

Im not denyinh that he's been disappointing but you sound like you were expecting a 21 year old moving to a foreign country, not knowing the language or culture to take the prem by storm. Not even Ronaldo could do that all the years ago! What Lamela needs is a string of games to acclimatise to the prem and a more fluid system with players moving off the ball. Let's see if Pochettino can deliver this eh?

Seeing as we could really do with a RCB if MM doesn't happen what options do you think we have Snarf for a first choice partner for Verts?

Ogbonna would be good but not sure he could play with Jan seeing as they're both LCBs.

I would love Benedikt Howedes but it appears he isn't too big on moving right now. I think he'd be a great partner to Jan.

I wanted Garay but that didn't happen unfortunately.

Omer Toprak is another good RCB option but he would likely cost a fair chunk of change given he was really good last season and he has a contract that runs until 2018. Really decent passer of the ball, quality defender who was really solid throughout the season for Leverkusen. He's also stated he would want to stay at Leverkusen.

It's incredibly hard to find a decent option for the RCB position that can step right in and contribute.

I think lamela takes to many touches and tries the difficult thing too often hopefully he will settle down as he is probably just trying too hard after last season.
