I was lucky enough to meet Harry today by blagging it into a hotel where the team were staying. We got a tip off by some colleagues who d seen the team coach outside this hotel in town, so on our way somewhere we took a detour. My boss said we had to speak to the maintinance man at reception and they let us in, after a 2 min chat with Dave about nothing we walked into the bar where Harry, joe Jordan and someone else? was sat. We walked over and said "Alright Harry, You ve got the only 2 spurs fans in the Brigade here, you d better win overwise these mancs are gonna rip the piss out of us" and he started laughin, got up and we shook hands.
We had a bit of a chat and I cheekily asked him who we were after and he said I dunno and I said Kenwynne jones and he replied "we re tryin"
I told him I went to the Wigan game and He went "Fuckin hell" and we both shook our heads.
I asked him if JJ was "out" meaning out of the club, but he said "Yes with a calf strain" so he must of thought I meant the match.
My boss said, if your short at centre half today, I ve got my boots in the car and he laughed and said "I ll give you a call"

Also before we left, just after the photo I lightly smacked him a few times on the back said "Fukin sort them out Harry" and stuck my thumb up and he replied "I will take it easy lads"
So overall a top bloke

Nice story and sounds decent enough.

I would have asked him what he thought of Gio.

I met him early in december when he was walking his dogs on the beach. One of the nicest people I have ever met...he was on the phone and rang off, then whilst we were chatting, it rang again. Rather than excusing himself and taking it, he turned the phone off and carried on walking / talking. All he told me at the time were we needed strengthening in a few areas and he would love to get Defoe back. lets see what else he has up his sleeves! The one down side of my day was one of his dogs pee'd on my shoe!!!

Nice one - although I bet he pissed himself laughing at his dog pissing on your shoe.

I have a cheeky new sandbanks connection in the offing at the moment, so I'm hopeful I'll meet Harry fairly soon. Might not be until the summer though, so hopefully by then we'll have finished mid table and won the Carling Cup :???:

I met Harry in his Bournemouth days. A mate of mine had a trial down there so I went along for support. About 2 hours into the trial Harry turned up. I was stood on the side of the pitch. I said hello ( i was 15), harry asked why I wasn't playing? I replied I'm not good enough. Harry said " i fucking decide who's good enough round here go and find some boots" I just laughed. I wish i fucking had found some now!

I met Harry once at Sydney airport as we were on the flight back here when he was West Ham manager and he brought a side over here. He was a really nice bloke and talked for a while. Very genuine and i can see why the press like him.
