I think he missed a year or two due to bad injury, and obviously during that time he didn't look after himself well and came back overweight. After that the last few years I think with the big pay packet he has just given up/hasn't got the motivation to get back into shape and try and resurrect his career. Shame, because he was a really good young player when he broke into the City team.

He had a very bad injury, then when he came back it was clear he'd piled on the lb's (picture right). Seems he's let himself go more since.

Oh well, another player who didn't have the commitment to match his talent. I'm sure he'll make a perfectly adequate bricklayer when he finally runs out of dough.
