Seemed inevitable after yesterday. The chairman's loyalty to him can only stretch so far. They've lost something like 6 of their last 7 home games haven't they? Pathetic. I do like Mick though, so it's a shame.

I wonder who his replacement will be? Difficult time of year to find a new coach.

Hardly surprising is it? England? At least it would give us a breathing space to keep 'Arry at the Lane but I can't see it happening and certainly not for long if it does happen.

Not really a big surprise he got the sack with their recent run of results.

Not surprised, watching the game yesterday it really looked as if the players could not be bothered. Never a good sign.

Not really a big surprise he got the sack with their recent run of results.

Not just the results, but the fact that the players he has should see them doing better. They've got some decent players there (Hennessey, Johnson, Jarvis, Doyle, O'Hara, Fletcher etc) and certainly shouldn't be down where they are.

Reckon he'll go to be Leeds manager now. God knows who Wolves will get. Steve Bruce?

I think, Wolves, Bolton and Blackburn will go down, well at least I hope they will.

Not surprised, club seems to be always struggling and yesterday's performance was abysmal. Be interesting to see who they bring in as the replacement.

You can't lose 5-1 at home in a derby, while on an absolutely terrible run of form and just above the drop zone, and not expect some form of action to be taken.

MickMac had to go, unfortunately.

He spent quite big on Doyle, Fletcher, Roger Johnson and O'Hara. All good players but he didn't get them gelling as a team.

I think Wolves, Bolton and one other will go down. Possibly QPR as despite their spending they are not looking like a team.

I feel a bit sorry for Mick. He's had injuries to players like Doyle, O'Hara and Frimpong and wasn't given much money to spend. They were always going to struggle this year.

I'm not sure who they'll get to replace him who will do much better. Bruce seems to be the favourite, but I really hope it's not him.

Perhaps the Chairman should have concentrated on building a team instead of a white elephant of a new 'vanity' stand when they can't even fill the current ground capacity.
