I thought he was a decent player, shame he didn't stay longer or get more goals. I loved it when he got one over on West Ham and celebrated in front of their horrible fans. Amazing to think we could have the likes of Kanoute and Mido as third and fourth strikers back in the day, it seemed we had too many strikers for many a year, now it seems we don't have enough :ROFLMAO:

If only we had Sandro or Parker in that team...

Zokora looked like a man possessed in that video, always remember that game. Always loved Berbatov's second goal, he was the only one in the stadium who knew he was onside :D

I remember his home debut, it looked like we had signed a world beater. He did some mid air flick, looked amazing. Funny guy.

Love the Levy story posted above from his twitter account.

I remember watching this, Mido had a great game and that we was in for a good season. Even remember the stadium almost being empty at the start of the match. Then locals watching on TV, saw a really good game and all rushed to the stadium and packed it out.

This was really the start of it all really.

After all the horror that went on before and the dark days, when fighting relegation and finishing in the bottom half of the table consistently.

I enjoyed the Jol era, there was so much to cheer.

Carsick was excellent leading into his departure, it has taken him seven years to play as well!!

The Berbatov/Kearne partnership was an absolute joy to watch.

He was amazing for us in his loan season before he went to the ACN, never came back the same. Massive waste IMO could have made so much more of his talent

The guy was a fucking idiot. I really liked him, but I will never forget the moment he came on as sub against Chelsea in that cup game and thousands of Spurs fans came out with that line from the intro to the Alexei Sayle Show, 'Who's that fat bastard?'

Answer: 'It's Mido.'

'But it's the Graf Zeppelin.'

'Trust me, it's Mido.'

Complete waste. I ran into some Ajax fans in Belgium six-seven years ago and they were telling me they rated him higher than Ibrahimovic when the two of them were with them. Could have been a great No. 9 for us, but just blew it. Twat.

That home game against Pompey for his debut was great, thought he was going to score loads of goals for us after that. Great in the air, shame he couldnt keep it up for the rest of his career

Great to see he is still a spur. I think Jol is too btw. Great days, better now, but we are more used to it.

Imagine Keane and berba at their peak in our current side...wow. Mido had all the attributes to be a a top class striker, real shame it didn't quite happen.

Whilst I'm not as harsh as you on his wasted talent, I feel similarly.

He showed, and not just in a moment or two but for entire games, albeit only few in number, his potential. He could have been a real animal. He had it all. Strength, control and whilst not a Usain Bolt, quick. I guess putting it all together is the hardest talent to have. A real shame, as he could, as you say, been a great #9. One of the best in the league.

Bah, the blow was softened when we got Berbatov, who had his own problems. He should be remembered with the greats of his generation but won't be, which is a real waste. Still, I doubt he'll lose any sleep over that.

Good point but you could also say the same for every spurs team since ive been supporting them since 89.

Cant remember a proper ball winner in any spurs team between 89- till when wilson turned up ( not one that was any good anyway)

The funny thing is though he played much better for us when he was fat during his loan spell.
The next season he turned up slim and couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo
