As much as I would love this deal the striker position was far more important. I am relieved we are getting Vinicius

It would be the real icing on the cake and would elevate us, but now with Vinicius looking like happening I think we've at least put ourselves in a position where we're had an incredible window regardless of what happens here and I think it enables us to relax a little.
I still think we will of course wait to see if we qualify tonight but also to see if we can shift a few out and depending on how successful we are in doing so may determine whether we will make a final push for Skriniar.

If we were to get Skriniar, this would be as close to a perfect window as we are likely to see.

In terms of depth, I've never seen a Spurs squad even come close.

With Vinicius and Skriniar, we potentially have a 3rd XI of Gaz, Rose, CCV, Foyth, Tanganga, Sissoko, Skipp, Gedson, Sessegnon, Parrott, Clarke.

Obviously some will leave and some are already on loan but that is amazing depth.

Our valuation of the player seems more than fair. I don’t think we should be the ones to move from the figure. It’s up to them, if not we will just middle through with what we have.

We're in a staring contest with Inter at the moment waiting to see who blinks so while we're waiting we went about finalising the striker deal, it seems that's pretty well a done deal now so we'll get back to renewing the pressure on Inter and we've still got five days to go.
So far this window we've got all our targets so I don't see the club losing out on this one at all, I just don't see it. I think we're playing a blinder to be honest.

It feels like Skriniar is more of a want, than a need. Sure, he'd massively improve our defence, but with the other moves we've made this summer, we can't really blame the club if this doesn't get completed. Our squad as it is (with Vinicius added too) is probably good enough to win a trophy, adding Skriniar would probably ensure we get top 4/mount some kind of title challenge.

Agreed very good window... I think a No. 10 Eriksen type would make a perfect window and ITK have said it is a possibility also if we get the other targets..

We have 1 point from 2 winnable home games. Title challenge is already over.

I have a feeling that was before the return of smaller crowds was ruled out for the foreseeable future.

I really think Jose believes if we get the remaining targets we can challenge for the title... I kinda agree with him... if we threw a curve ball and got a No.10 creative midfielder also I would be totally convinced we could go close.. I think we should be good enough for top 4 now..

Seems a little naive. Plenty of big teams have dropped points already, and I'd be extremely surprised to see Liverpool stay injury free for a 3rd season in a row. I don't expect us to win the league, but with a new striker to help keep Kane on his toes, and the addition of Bale, Reguilon and Skriniar (if it happens), I'd say our squad is certainly comparable to all the other top clubs in the league.

It isn't a "fact" at all.

Liverpool dropped 15 points in the entirety of the previous season we have dropped 5 at home in the first two games. I think we will have a good season and get top 4 hopefully at Chelsea, United and Arsenal's expense but to challenge Liverpool we needed to win those first two home games.

Liverpool have shown some vulnerability just no one taken advantage yet... we need to start winning consistently and put the pressure on.

Also I remember Conti's Chelsea being awful for the first month and still won the league getting something like 92 points so a slow start is not fatal

None of what you say is fact, it's your opinion. Throwing the towel in after 3 league games is just a weak mentality.

Who's throwing the towel in? I think it could be highly likely to have another season in touching difference but those 5 points already dropped are like the 8 points we were behind Chelsea or the gap we had to catch up to Leicester it is very hard to make up that kind of gap on very consistent teams.
