It kicked off a bit after we played them in a friendly back in 2001. Does anyone remember that? There was a mini riot wasn't there?

Bit more than "kicked off a bit". Spurs went down there in large numbers and took it to millwall. If i remember correctly a millwall pub was set on fire on the jamaica road in the evening.

Whoever organised a friendly between the two clubs probably made a note to never do it again. Whilst no direct rivalry, both have notoriously active firms and this is possibly seen as THE clash.

I'm going and I cannot wait! Last Cup game at The Lane, for me, this game is the FA Cup final, and not just because it's blatantly obvious we will collapse against whatever top side we get in the next round should we get through, no, it's because of the ocassion. And I'm taking my dad and grandad ( his first game was in 1951 )

Cannot fucking wait!

On the subject of football violence one of the funniest things I've seen involved hooliganism. There had been some violence in Bristol, mainly involving Bristol City fans. The local news showed an interview with a 'witness' saying how it just came out of nowhere, and how it's sad to see grown men acting that way.

The news channel then immediately cut to earlier video footage of the same bloke hurling a chair at a group of bystanders.

Bloody 'northeners'!

After last night this game worries me.
Players need to turn up with the right attitude so we can go to Wembley and play shit again. #COYS

That is the downside for me as I fancy we will beat Millwall but then again the usual collapse would appear to be on the horizon again.
And especially as it could be at Wembley the stadium is made of kryptonite for us can still remember the embarrassing 5-1 handed out to us by Chelsea, and the screw up against Portsmouth what was that about.

I agree. I hate Wembley and I'm never confident when we play there. Having said that, we had some shocking luck in both the Chelsea and Pompey semi's. I'm sure Atkinson gave them a goal that was never over the line (again), and iirc we could've had a pen and them go down to ten when Adey pulled a goal back for us. Then in the Pompey game did we get a perfectly good goal disallowed or something? I remember David James looking up at the crowd and smirking at the terrible decision.

will never forget the season when Ozzie and Ricky joined and we played C Palace away

on the way back we were stuck in traffic just short of London Bridge, and my mate the driver had a Spurs tax disc, we never had anything else football related on us. all of a sudden about 5 or 6 Millwall fans walked round the corner, and 1 of them spotted the tax disc, shouted out "yids", to which my mate responded very quickly driving over London bridge on the wrong side of the road:whistle:

Bristol's south of London actually :D
I originally come from the West Country myself. I know that. It was in reference to a couple of posts earlier that said it was a northern thing to fight at football. It was a joke and it looks like I caught me a big one!
