Good player with a lot of potential.

He is able to play both as an 8, a 10, on the right or as a false 9.

He really needs a coach to find his best position and mould him because so far no one has found his best position.

He currently isn’t a typical Ange winger but he would offer us something playing on the right. He wants to come inside too much though so he’d have to be coached to hold width and go two ways with his dribbling. His dribbling stats are very good though, it’s just a case of getting him to utilise them out right.

Alternatively we’d mould him as an 8.

I think Nico Williams is a better fit if we want a winger but I can certainly see big potential in Kudus and could understand why we’d go for him. Downside would be he’s another player we’d lose to the African Nations Cup this Jan.

I would hope we'd steer far clear of anyone who sounds like they could be a bit of a mercenary. No interest in being used as a stepping stone.

He has said in the past that he prefers to play as an attacking midfielder. I think he'd be perfect for Ange's system as an attacking 8.

I just still have a feeling if we can get Gallagher for an OK price we will for the HG angle and that Ange seems to love him. Kudus as an alternative though really would be class

As we already struggle with Kulu cutting inside, you'd think it would be better to sign someone who go on the outside if we want a RW. For Ange's system. What position are we looking for though.

I would just be worried about the impact of the ANC as we would lose Bissouma, Sarr (Orban if we were to sign him) and this guy which could potentially be a chunk of the first team.
ANC is during winter break - they would miss like two games.

Yes I think you’re spot on. That’s why I want Nico Williams. He’s pretty good on both feet and can go outside or inside, as well as play on both flanks.

We should be activating his €50m release clause immediately if we’re serious about getting Ange quality young players who fit his system.

I like Kudus though, a lot of potential, it’s just about deciding where he best fits.

Much more reasonable to ask that from Brighton than us. We’re on a down swing, but we’ve been in the CL at least half of the time in the last decade right? I assume we pay better wages than them also.
Fair point mate. I would actually accept the clause if we don't make CL in 2 years. He isn't good enough to try build around for a season and then lose in summer.

Well this is a surprising turn of events if interest is legitimate but I was firmly under the impression that it was all but done with Brighton?

Would be a great signing and gives genuine competition/rotation on the right flank which we need more than the left hand side with Eze.
Brighton deal is dead supposedly. They gave him 48 hours to agree to their terms but he wouldn't relent on the release clause.
I'm sure the wages Brighton offered would be a pittance compared to us, so I doubt we'd have the same problem in regards to release clause.

Just shows the measure of where we think our club sits these days, a player wants a release clause if a CL club, he means a big club, comes in for him and nobody thinks we're among the clubs in that bracket anymore.
