There are literally no upsides to this. Very surprised the usually cool Poch has got drawn into this. The lad now has all the motivation he needs when he plays us. Pitch and Spurs gain no such benefit. Looks petty. Knives are out for us big time this season after we confounded expectations and didn't fold last season. I think a lot of hope out there in media that Wembley is a major factor for us as we have been a roadblock to the money clubs and media favourites for too long. Spurs crumble before new stadium is just a story they really want to write.

Agree. As usual the headline about fearing playing second fiddle is complete bullshit as the quotes don't mention that.

He makes the point in a very balanced way which covers not just the challenge of recruiting in the striker position but others as well....

Reading that, that was about Conte. That's Poch taking a shot at Conte, especially when he says Morata mentioned Pochs name and then knocks him out with the second fiddle to Kane comment.

Has he just not admitted to tapping up Morata?
Or was we given permission to talk to him -
Did we have a fee agreed at some point in the past two years I wonder?

Conte seems to be going out of his way to be a knob at the moment. His remit at Chelsea last season was pretty easy - to improve drastically on an abysmal season from Mourinho (who seemed to disappear up his own arse), without any pressure from European games. This season the pitch is more level and he's sniping at anyone and everyone. Poch has just given him a little slap down after his totally uncalled for comments about Kane.
