We won't be getting Schneiderlin, simple. United or scum. How often do we beat them to signings?
He's overpriced anyway. Too expensive for us.

Im suprised this thread is still going on ä player we have zero chance of getting cant we lock it and talk about more realistic targets.
Rumors of him going to Arsenal in an [agreed] deal of 25m. Being reported by a couple outlets on Twitter.
While I, like many others here, feel like its just twitter rumor, this is a worry. He would make them a very difficult team to beat out for a top four spot.
Totally agree. It's not going to happen now.Hardly suprising but we missed Our chance in the summer so we have to look elsewhere.

Honestly not as bothered about us not signing him as I am them signing him, as I think he'd be a much better fit for them (even despite the fact we have Poch).
Just felt it was a lack of ambition again on our part especially as i would have thought levy would Back poch but there you go silly me.
Yeah, but I don't think it was entirely Levy's fault. I think Saints genuinely were not going to sell him after letting so many go, and we just got screwed because we got to the yard sale too late.
Thats what i meant we waited to long for Liverpool to pick their pockets that was a poor decision.
@Sweech I see you have disagreed with everyone who has said they cant see us getting him which of course is your opinion, but how on earth are we going to be in the market for a player who we should have offered £20 million for in the summer but who is now getting even better and will be worth 30 or more this year.
Seeing as our chairman wont go over 13-15 million for him at what stage you see different out of interest.

I know liberal amounts of salt must be applied, but did we not have ITK not too long ago (Maybe in December?) which stated that Poch was indeed interested in Schneiderlin, but even he felt the price was too much for the player?

I dont doubt poch was interested as he was integeral part of the way he wants to shape up.
Its more the fact i felt we were far too slow allowing other clubs to raid them first so By the Time we got going up went the price.
Im not ä fan of levys leave it late grab ä bargain policy which leaves us with players like stambouli etc.
Didn't the itk's state it was the Arsenal purchase that was the straw on the cammels back, with the board starting to feel the pressure from the fans?
